Hello all my fellow 1st tri'ers!!!!
Thanks for being my Cyber friends in advance!!!!!

Went to the docs today and gave her my pee, so I can get it confirmed there too!!!!

Also, I mentioned that I would like an earlier scan if poss for re-assurance because of the mc I had last year; she told me to book in with the midwife. Then when I was at the desk I saw the midwife that came to see me last year and she gave me the tel number to the Early Pregnancy Unit and said that they will give me an internal scan, early, if I wanted one???

But you know, I am so relaxed at the mo...and don't think I want an early scan??? I just said this to the doc coz I thought I would test the water...I may hold out till I'm biting at the bit...or then again, I may ring them tomoz and see when they could see me and then make a desicion from there?? Yeh, that's what I will do....

Today, I feel preggers....I am tired! Yawny yawn!!
It's just hit me!!!

Welcome - I'm soooo pleased you're here!!

If you can hold out on the early scan I would. I wish now I had as I bokked direct with the EPU and they dated me there and then and so I wont get a 12 wk scan.....20 wks is a loooong way off so I'm paying for one plus my nuchal scan so its an expensive business!!

Its a scan that helps give you an indication of Downs.

Its done earlier than the triple tests so you have the info sooner and I understand its a more accurate indication as its looking at bloods and physical characteristics of your baby.

I think I will wait for the triple tests then....but I am just in such a calmed mood at the mo (like a tranquil sea)...look, I a getting all poetic!!
My mood will probably change by then....I think I feel that I have been so absorbed with TTC and now I have what I want, I have gone all calm and self-asssuring!!??

I think it will be very easy to get addicted to scans! If my nhs one is rubbinsh, I am going to pay for the 4d one.
