hi all
ive just found out im pregnant with my 2nd baby. my 1st baby was born @ 35 weeks after my waters broke suddenly. there was no warning that i was going to go into pre term labour until this happened. it all ended in a emergency section 3 hrs after my waters broke.
i was just wonder what will happen this time around? would i be monitored more closly or will i just be treated like a normal pregnant 2nd time mum??

My first daughter was born at 23 weeks gestation and they couldn't say why... just that it was spontaneous labour.
With my son, my waters broke at 34 weeks and i had him 6 weeks early again they don't know why.

To get to the point, everyone is different and so is NHS trusts. I was monitored every two weeks until i was 24 weeks then weekly after that. A good friend of mine who lives in Swindon had similar circumstances and had no extra scans or appointments.

If there was no cause then hopefully it shouln't happen again. Good Luck xx
