Hi ladies,
Just wanted to say hello and introduce myself. My name is Ally, I'm 27 from Northern Ireland. My husband is 35. We have been together for just over 6 years and during that time we have had 7 very early miscarriages.
My miscarriages are a bit strange in that I get my BFP after my period.
This is an example of a typical MC for me:
CD 27 - BFN
CD 28 - Normal period, lasting about 5 days
CD 10 - Pregnancy symptoms & BFP....
.... then my HCG will be monitored by my local EPP clinic, it will rise very slowly for a few days and then start to go down again and at that point I would start to bleed.
Over the years I have had all the usual NHS tests, all have came back normal and I have basically been told "Bad luck, try again".
Anyway, in July this year DH and I decided we would pay for me to go and see Professor Quenby in Coventry. Her team performed a uterine biopsy on me and in August I got my results. I have been diagnosed with having high NK cells.
The treatment she has put me on is Progesterone from CD 21 - 28 then I do a pregnancy test and if BFP I continue until 12 weeks pregnant (I then also start a daily steroid). If BFN I stop and wait for AF to arrive.
Currently I am on cycle 2 of my treatment. BFN on Saturday, just waiting for AF to arrive now.
So that's my story. Sorry it's a bit long winded
Can't wait to hear from you and to hopefully make some friends along the way.
