Hi everyone...

I've been lurking on the forum but haven't posted on one for a few years now! But I'm feeling really low right now and need to speak to other ladies going through the same as me!

I fell pregnant with our son the first month I came off the pill and he was born in 2007! We started ttc #2 3 years ago but have not even had a sniff of pregnancy! I have had ultrasounds, blood tests, laparoscopy, hycosy etc. The only thing they found was mild endo which was cut away 12 months ago! My periods are regular and apparently I ovulate on my own and my partners semen anaylsis is also good! I'm 33 and my partner is 29.

I'm on my 2nd cycle of clomid, not entirely sure why I have been given it if I ovulate on my own but I guess its worth a shot! I really do not feel hopeful!

I'm an emotional wreck at the moment, crying at the drop of a hat and just feeling very frustrated as to why its not happening!! I feel like I am surrounded by pregnant friends or newborns and it just really hurts!!

Please tell me your stories and any successes!! xx

Hi loulou!

So sorry to hear your long journey and that you're feeling so low! I wish I could say or do something to help, but perhaps just knowing you're not alone will help.

I'm 35, DH is 42 and we're trying for #1. It's taken me almost a year to even ovulate and we are also dealing with low motility and morphology. Even though it's only been a year, even getting to the point where you have a shot is tough. Sounds like you've done everything you can too - are the doctors just not sure what's going on?

I know what you mean too about having pregnant friends and newborns all over. I'm the last one in my group of friends and my family to have kids and none of them have dealt with fertility issues. My 18 year old niece just gave birth and wasn't even trying to get pregnant.

I think feeling frustrated and upset is very normal! I hope it gets better for you and that the clomid will help! You're not alone!!

Sending tons of hugs your way!! :hugs:

Hi, I would try the clomid for 3 months then ask the go to refer you to a fertility specialist at the hospital for more help. The worse thing is not having a diagnosis to work with but is very common as I have found out on here.

When we tried for no2 our Gp said as we had a child they were not even going to refer us and I was only 29 at the time and had been trying for over a year. We ended up going private and were lucky that on the first iui I fell pregnant. Not going so well this time but gone down the private route again. I hope the clomid is all you need to give you a boost.

Good luck x
