Hi there, I looked for a c-section or VBAC forum but couldn't find one, so i hope this is as appropriate a place as any to ask. :)

I am pregnant with our fourth baby and have had three previous c-sections.

1st - October 2006 - 41 weeks, lower segment horizontal incision
2nd - September 2007 - 25 weeks, lower segment horizontal incision (but obviously higher on my uterus as it wasn't as stretched at 25 weeks.
3rd - January 2009 - 38 weeks, lower segment horizontal incision.

Now, i know that my pregnancies have been pretty close together. This one is due October 2010.

My question is whether anyone knows if i would have much of a chance at having a *safe* VBA3C, or is it just too risky? I am all about what is safest as my first two c-sections were for losses, so i don't want to put this baby in harms way. While saying that, i know that c-sections are risky too, especially since it will be my fourth one.

Thanks. :o)

ooh hun, i'm sorry i cant help but my advice would be to find yourself a very supportive M/W or consultant.... i really really hope you find some answers xxxx

Theres a yahoo VBAC group (infact theres couple of groups) which might b helpful...i'm sure u'll find someone on there that knows their stuff on vba3c.

sorry i can't b more help either hun. good luck xx

Im sure there are risks but i would be, like you, very eager to have a VBAC. a lot of women have had success with independent midwives specialising in vbac's.

I can't be much help but think that the yahoo groups would be a great starting point along with finding a vbac supportive dr/mw. One thing that I found inspirational is that Michelle Dugger (the lady with 19 kids) has had multiple successful VBACs after two cesareans (I think both were for twins). That's what I think of when people say that VBACs can't be done. :)

Thanks for your help girls. :) I'll be sure to follow your leads!
