So we are getting ready to move into our new home and for the first time since we've been renters, we don't get a washer and dryer included in our home. Not a huge issue really. We've been wanting to buy our own for quite a while now anyways.
Over the 4th of July weekend DH and I went to the store and bought brand new Samsung smart machines that are normally for $2,000 (£1,301) which we got for $900 (£585)! With the 4th of July sales and we negotiated the washer which was an open box. We are so ecstatic!

The thing is... I've never had a HE machine. Only regular top loaders. I've read that you specifically have to use HE laundry detergent but when I went to Sams to look at it in bulk it was double the price for half the loads!
Right now we use All Free & Clear which says "Safe for HE machines" on the bottle. Is this right? I've heard that you have to cut regular laundry detergent in half?
This is so confusing!
