High Fever During Ovulation (Please any answers??)

Hey ladies! Been away for a while, trying desperatly to keep my mind of ttc as much as possible. Just popped on to ask a question. I hope your all doing well!

I am not sure exactly what day I ovulated since my temps were extremely high and that didnt help me determine ovulation at all, so Im just going off opks. I am guessing I ovulated on day 14 or 15 (have a peek at my chart). Anyway, I happened to come down with the flu just as I was ovulating. And I dont mean just any flu, an extreme one. My fever was as high as 104.64 one morning and ended up in the ER because I was so dehydrated and could barely stand up. We managed to get a few days of BD in before I got sick but not sure it was enough.

So my question is... If an egg has managed to get fertilized would my super high fever effect it?

Also, I got my first pos opk on cd13 and am still getting positives on cd 18!! I know ovulation has to be over because I have no more ewcm only creamy cm and my cervix is no longer soft and open. Whats up with that? I stopped recording positive opks because I dont want to confuse FF. Then this morning I had a massive drop in my temps. Could meds they have me on to reduce my fever and such effect my temps like that?

Sorry I wont be much help but I would assume that the meds they gave you would affect your temps. When did you start taking the meds maybe it is just taking a few days for them to kick in. I would think egg would still be ok even with high temps. Sorry not much help.

I had a quick google on this topic and the only problems I found related to Sperm production being impaired by high fevers. Nothing relating to ovulation or it affecting your egg.

Im not much help with figuring out when you ovulated but I'd just relax and hope you did catch that eggy!

Thanks ladies for your replies. I was feeling really good about this month and then I got sick right as we needed to do a few more days BDing and we didnt get them in so Im feeling really bummed right now. I really wanted this to be the month.

I googled it too but not much came up, thats why I thought I would pop on here to see if anyone had any info. I usually get loads of replies when I ask a question... I guess this one no one knew.
