Hi, I´ve been diagnosed recently that I have PCOS because my LH / FSH ratio is 3:1, which is a clear PCOS case.

I´ve been researched on the internet that when the LH/FSH ratio is so high, it is quite impossible to ovulate on your own. As such, I would want to ask if any of you has a high LH/FSH ratio and still has been able to ovulate on your own?

I don´t want to try Clomid immediately, since I would still want to have a natural BFP as far as possible.

Does anybody know how to decrease the LH/FSH ratio?

hi i have 11.5 fsh and 1.7 LH, i ov last month on my own..
i am having acupuncture, refloxology and changed my diet to lower fhs. i have also dramtically cut down at the gym as this can affect your ov

i dont temp but that will tell you if you ov or not?
hope that helps

has your doc not suggested you try metformin before clomid? that should even out your ratios and get you ovulating on your own.

Do you mean LH - 11.5, FSH 1.7? Cos the other way round doesn´t make sense to want to lower your FSH??

I heard that temping will tell if you hve ov. But I haven´t gotten down to doing it because you have to take your temps at the same time everyday and I wake up at different times on most days, so haven´t got down to temping yet....

Do you exercise a lot? I exercise enough, 1x swimming, 1xpilates and 1 x jogging a week. But that´s not overdoing it,cos I´ve been doing it for the longest time...plus I think I put on a bit weight recently so I want to lose it!

Hi DragonMummy. Does metformin work for everybody? Does it have any side effects?

hi i meant 11.7 FSH and 1.7 LH. Fsh mean a dimishing egg reserve hence i want to reduce.
i was going to gym and doing cardio ,bodypump and running about 5 times a week but now i do spinning x1, need to start walking more and start pilates

What u are doing sounds good...

i know what u mean about loosing a bit, i have cut from 5 times off vigourous to 3 times moderate :)
hoopefully it will be worth it for us x

Hey Muncho.
I think we have reverse problems. I want to reduce my LH and you want to reduce your FSH. Don´t really know how to do that. Actually I don´t really care about LH or FSH as long as I can ovulate naturally and get pregnant! Wahhahaha.....who cares about these ratios man.....

yea i know what u mean!! i think either way both of them should be lower the better!
