High Prolactin levels & seeking experience with treatments

Hi ladies, first time user and have been TTC since the start of the year, recently diagnosed with a 5mm Microadema, prolactin levels are 1600. First specialist appointment tomorrow after a few months wait to see her. My levels seem to be quite high (not sure if they are being measured on a different scale or not) I know they are quadruple the levels they are meant to be

Seeking ladies who have been in the same boat and how they found their treatment? I am excited to get treatment but always hesitant as last few Dr visits where to send me for the MRI & to confirm tumour so hasn't been good visits.

How long did it take to lower levels? where there any side effects? how long did it take to get the BFP?

thank you ladies

I'm sorry you are dealing with this. I have no experience with anything like this, but wishing you well.

Hi! I was diagnosed with the same thing in April. My level was 71 and it was three times what it should be...a normal level is under 20. I am guessing (hoping) that your level is in some other measurement. I went to an endocrinologist, who put me on cabergoline twice a week. I went and took my levels again three months after and my level had gone from 71 to 5. When I went to see the endo the first time, he said the medicine that I am on is supposed to make you more fertile. My husband and I have been TTC since January 2015. Just got finished taking 10 days of Provera about 8 days ago...which I am not sure if the missing AF has anything to do with the prolactinoma or not.

Good luck to you!
Ali

Dear Jesnicdee,
I can see your post is old but just curious how things changed for you so far?
My levels were 1700 and started Dostinex in august 2015 then Norprolac in December. No BFP so far.
I was very depressed on Dostinex though.
My cycles are regular now and tests show that I am ovulating.
Did you have a BFP so far?
