high risk 1/95 on downs

i have been given a risk of 1in 95 of downs.went for harmony blood test yeterday.the teason for this was something in my blood.nuchal was perfect 1.5mm. baby has a nasal bpne.everything else was perfect on my scan.brain was formes ok.not too small.heartbeat perfect.cant understand why it has came back high.from previous similar experiences.does anyone have any advice.could my baby be ok? get harmony blood test results in 2 weeks resu

Hi we had 1 in 203 odds, had the MaterniT21 blood test with great results. I read there are people with worse odds than yours and baby is ok. Hang in there!!

I had a 1:8 risk with a 3.5mm NT. it's a killer waiting for the results but ours came back clear, sure yours will too. Fingers crossed xx

got my harmony blood test result. NEGATIVE!!!! obviously just dodgy bloodwork. going to have more scans to check for growth, but no way am I worrying about that now. thanks everyone for your comments

Glad to hear your good news lily. I am in waiting and stressed to the max right now. I had my nuchal translucency on Monday (after my dr told me I didn't need it but could have it because my age of 24 I should be low risk) but I wanted it for peace of mind. Well I got quite the opposite 1/11 for downs.

Nuchal measurement:4.3mm
Hcg:1.09
PAPP-A:0.26

I had the maternit21 blood test done on Tuesday so I'm at the beginning of my 2 week wait. I am just in shock this never crossed our minds- they gave us odds of 1/11 for downs. I was expecting 1/10,000. Not prepared and very scared right now. I hope I get good results like you but there is always the chance to be the "1".

i didnt expect this either.you never think it will happen to you, always someone else.il keep my fingers crossed for you.i wouldnt wish this feeling on my worst enemy.google isnt alot of help i found.there were stories of people with odds better than me, but they were the 1.but then there wpuld be people with worse results than mine who got the all clear! cant understand it.its just like a random computer game.good luck! make sure you update us with what happens, which i hope will be great.the wait will feel like an eternity

I agree google is not so helpful!! I will certainly update once I know, hoping it will be by end of next week so I don't have to go they 2 weekends. Thanks for your good thoughts and fingers crossed. I really appreciate it!
