High/very high functioning Autism and babies

Hi,

My soon to be 6 year old daughter has Asperger's Syndrome and she is excited about having a new baby sister but I was wondering how did any of you help your children to become more involved with the pregnancy and with the baby, and how did your child react to the baby once it was born?

Hi, I would recommend social storys and lots of books about baby's. Just make her know you sill love her xx

My son is high functioning and will turn 6 the 22nd of this month and we just welcomed his brother into the world on Nov 18 and he is great with him! the day my dad brought him to the hospital he was VERY quite but he was also on benadryl from an allergic reaction. But he's great with him! Very loving!
