Hii quick question for those who have had a C-Section?

I will definitely ask this at my 6 week follow up appointment... I wonder what they will say.

I had an emergency c-section, and I was told I had to wait 1 year. I plan on having a VBAC my next pregnancy.

Differnet people get told different things.

There are no hard and fast rules about it.

When you feel ready is the best answer.

I had EMCS and got pg 9 months later went on the VBAC (planned HBAC) no questions asked or problems what so ever.

I had 18mths between my first sections and had baby no3 within 3 years with no problems x

My doctor told me too wait a minimum of a year before TTC again. But I have also heard 2 years.

It depends on each individual. I had an Emc with Dissolvable stiches. My consultant told me to wait 6 months. I am almost 3 months pregnant my daughter is 6 months old. I have been told there are no concerns and that next time round i should probably watch more tv to stop this happening again lol that was all the advice my midwife gave me. Little did she know this baby was planned!!> Goodluck with whatever you choose.

it's also to do with your scar not being properly healed, if you get pregnant quickly again you risk the scar tearing.

This. The risk is uterine rupture then miscarriage. I was told a year.
