hmm to wax or not to wax...??

ok so i have a bikini wax booked in at 2pm today and im having second thoughts! maybe coz im chickening out haha

has anyone else had a wax done or planning to have a wax done ready for the big day? i know alot of you have said you are shaving, i usually trim mine with a ladyshave thing as shaving irritates me! but i want to be hair free and not worry about keeping on top of the trimming now i havnt long to go.

just a bit worried as ive had lots of bikini wax's before but never this one, im going for a brazilian! (wax the hair all around the bum, lips and sides and just leave a 'landing strip' in case anyone was wondering lol)

is this even possible at nearly 39 weeks pregnant? i know you have to put your legs in allsorts of odd positions for them to get to the hair lmao! oh the glamour....maybe i should just stop being a wimp and just get it over with lmao

Don't chicken out. I'm not exactly looking forward to it, but I am DEFFO looking forward to the end result!!

If you're worried, ask to wear the paper pants. Then you're not actually showing off your foof, just the bits they need to see!!!!

It will be amazing once it's done, I can't wait, Ihaven't hjad a brazillian for yonks and yonks and I just cannot wait for the cleanly waxed feeling. My hubby is well excited too, he's working away and gets back on sunday, he's very happy I'm getting back into my routine of foof maintainence!!

I'm gonna book mine in a few weeks time, just want everything tidy for afterwards really for when i have stitches and to keep mess to a minimum will have to try and keep on top of it and keep it trimmed as much as i can

I waxed my legs the other day, but can't quite bring myself to have a bikini wax...... Think i'll resort to just having a bit of a strim instead.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhh, such a weigfht off, it feels soooooo much better and I won't worry if I need to get my foof out for anyone either! Asked her to go a bit lower too as if I have a c-section I don't want a nurse hacking away at my lovely braziallian heehee

yes and im dissapointed i mean it looks miles better than it did but i paid 15 quid for a brazilian which i thought was the bum, lips and sides leaving a neat strip- well i got the neat strip and sides but hair was left near the bum area lol and all on my lip area too whole point of paying out 15 quid was so i was smooth all over...meh!

I always get waxed and have found it so much easier, especially now i can't even see my lady bits lol.

The only thing I did find the last time I went it seemed to hurt just a little bit more than normal

Oh no! it should all have been taken off, when i last had mine down I literally laid on the bed with nothing on (but then i've known my beautician for years and years) and she just kept going until I was bare

unfortunatly i think i picked the wrong salon i went there as they had their own website looked fancy enough claimed to be a specialist in intimate waxing and did allsorts id never heard of 'playboy wax' and syphinx wax lol so thought ok they have lots of experience thats what i want- i ended up with a peroxide blonde 18 year old called, wait for it...Barbie! no joke. who spent the whole time slagging off her boss and saying she didnt care what went on in the salon as she was leaving next week anyway which filled me with so much confidence she was gonna do the job properly! NOT. oh well wont be going there again! xxx

ooooooooo what a shame hun!!! My brazillian is exactly what you thought it would be, haven't even got a a landing strip on top, just a tuft left in case I have a c-section!!!

I know it's an embarr thing to do, but could you maybe ring the owner and complain? Especially about 'Barbie' (that cannot be her real name) bitching about crap the whole time?!?!! Surely what my beauty lady calls a brazillian can't be different from what that salon calls them??

Pmsl @ Barbie! I'd be tempted to ring the salon and speak to the manager, basically explaining you haven't gotten what you've paid for, they should ask you to go back to have it put right, you could always go in after Barbie Doll has left

Yep I agree, as Barbie complained so much about her boss ring the boss and tell them Barbie was rubbish and you want a re-wax....... The boss prob doesn't like Barbie anyway!

My sister is a trained beautician and has offered to do mine before the big day! But I'm not sure that is a little too close for comfort. I mean we're a close family but that is a bit strange isn't it?!?! x

Naaaaah, you can keep the little paper pants on so you don't expose your actual bits, just around it for the wax.

It's seriously one of the best beauty treatmetns I've ever had, it makes such a difference!!

Just wanted to add that I am a complete Brazilian advocate!!! My beautician calls hers a 'Radical' Brazillian' which is where they take off everything underneath, bum and lips as cupcake was expecting.

Sorry you have had a bad experience hun but don't let it put you off... my wax costs me £24 (for the radical) but she does regular brazilians for £16 (which is just the sides) Perhaps they call it different things in different salons so 'Barbie' assumed you wanted the regular Brazilian. All very confusing lol But for £15 I would not expect a full braz as it takes my beutician a good 45 mins (granted she does talk ALOT!!!) hehe

My brazillian is only £15 and she spent an hour taking everything off, just a tiny tuft left on top and a really neat strip on my lips.
