Hi, we're TTCing so this is a little pre-meditated but it's so fun to think about. Obviously who knows if it'll happen or if we have a girl or boy (Girl names will likely be Zelda or Violet with Jane as the middle name, most likely Zelda lol...anyway)

I really like the name Holden and Charles is both my husband and my grandfather's name. It's kind of fate.

I would want him to go by Holden but I think Charles Holden Glasgow just sounds better than Holden Charles Glasgow. I kind of think it'd be easier to go by your first name in class and everything but my dad goes by his middle name and it's not like it's a huge concern. What do you guys think?

Holden Charles seems more preferable more because "Holden" sounds like a surname than Charles. Against Glasgow, Charles Holden sounds more fluent.

Charles Holden flows better. Also Holden is a type of car here so I'm unsure about it as a first name.

Thanks guys! Yeah, I'm not sure which one I'll choose. The more I think about it, the more I think it'd be easier to just have the first name be Holden but we will see. I've got plenty of time. lol. Charles Holden does sound a bit bitter though.

I've never heard of the car brand so it seems like more of a name than a brand to me. But that's interesting! I obviously got the name from Catcher in the Rye but I'm not necessarily naming a baby after the slightly shady character... lol.

I think they both sound fine. Charles Holden flows a little better but I don't think Holden Charles sounds weird or anything.

Love Catcher in the Rye. :) Holden Caulfield is awesome.

I like both! Nice names  I think if I had to choose, it'd be Charles Holden, as I love the nickname Charlie. Would you shorten it?

Charles Holden... sounds better.

Plus, I see your profile says AR. If that stands for Arkansas, I can see a lot of kids (and adults) saying "holdin' charles" in a million different variations and sentences. That's just how us Southerners are. Haha.
