Hi,

Our daughter Hollie Rose was born at 40+6 on Friday 21st September after a very quick water bith.

Our first daughter arrived at 36+3 so i was wondering my whole pregnancy if this little one would arrive early or not but she kept us waiting a little while longer. We were team yellow too.

On Friday morning i had abit of a show but nothing really. I had a few mild cramps but they passed. I kept myself busy doing housework and the washing and entertaining my little girl. When my husband got in from work we had a curry for tea that i had done in the slow cooker. We put our little girl to bed at 7pm like normal and decided to put a dvd on. While we were watching it i was sat on the couch and had the strangest feeling and something went pop. This was between 8-8.30pm.I went to the toilet and my waters went. I started getting cramps more or less straight away so phoned the midwife led unit and they advised me to come in and get checked out. I phoned my brother who came to watch our dd. I started to get contractions every 5-7 mins and they hurt. Got to the hospital between 9.15-9.30pm. I was sick a couple of times when i got to the hospital and it was the curry that came back up. Not nice. About 9.45pm the contractions were intense and the midwife examined me and i was 7 cm :happydance: I couldnt believe it. I asked if i could go in the birthing pool so she said it would take 10 mims to fill so i had some gas and air. I got into the pool about 10pm and i felt the urge to push. The midwife said just go with my body. In about 3 or 4 pushes our beautiful daughter arrived into the world in the water at 10.22pm. She had the cord wrapped round her neck a couple of times but was absolutely fine. She weighed a tiny 6lbs 6ozs. We were home saturday night and are all doing really well. We still cant believe how quick it happend. Our oldest daughter absolutley adores her too.

xx
