hollow legs?

I have been feeding my LO for what seems like hours now and he won't settle...both my boobs feel pretty rubbery and empty now...but still feeding....

any advice?!

Do u think hes comfort suckling hun, maybe try giving him a clean finger (your finger) to suck on??

BTW u wont run out of milk so even if u feel empty he will still b getting a bit...

My son used to do that too.. its comfort sucking ..so basically we are human dummies lol its your choice but maybe a dummy can help?

Brenn used to do the same thing. It is called cluster feeding. He would nurse in the evenigns for hours on end. I remember switching him from side to side, back and forth. Some of it is for comfort and some of it is feeding.

Alice did the same thing last night.....over 5 hours of switching from one side to the other. I think it's for comfort and maybe because of the heat here, is the weather warm where you are? I asked the public health nurse and she said it's normal and they do go through a growth spurt around 2-3 weeks.

we had this and it ended up i was sat there for hours on end. tried the finger thing n that worked but she would just cry as soon as you took it away. we ended up using a dummy in the end (not that i wanted to but i was soooo tired) but that's down to personal preference.
