I promised myself I'd post after my baby was born. We started TTC on my 35th birthday and after several months of increasing intensity (started by just going off the pill and crossing my fingers to ovulation kits and supplements) I decided to see an RE. I was given a diagnosis of very, very low AMH. My baseline AFC was ONE. I don't even remember the exact number but it was something like .06; the Dr told me it was one of the lowest he'd tested. To say I was devastated would be such an understatement; I was nearly suicidal. It was the worst time of my life. Somehow, I pulled myself together, but it was still a really difficult process. I made a holistic plan for myself, which I'd be happy to get into in greater detail if anyone is interested.
Well, we did a round of IVF (I did a few weeks of the BCP and then a Microdose Lupron Flare protocol) got only three eggs, transferred two and guess what? I got incredibly lucky and now have a gorgeous almost six month old.
No one understands the devastation of an IF diagnosis if she hasn't been through it. I want to send you all the luck and strength in the world.
