Hi all,
I was on hormonal BC for about 13 years, the pill for one year and then Implanon for 12 years. After getting it removed in late November I was prepared for a long wait for cycles to return, and even longer to finally conceive.
The doctor suspects I have endo, but I refused the surgery to find out for sure. And we both suspected sperm quality issues with my OH who is 35, I am 31.
However I am now almost 5 weeks pregnant!!!!!
I started ovulating after 2 weeks of Implanon removal, and had regular 29 day cycles from my first ovulation (confirmed with charting and OPKs). I wanted to share this story to give hope to anyone coming off BC as there are so many stories about how long it will take......be prepared for it not to take as long as you thought!
