In my bag, I have towels, tankini coz im planning on water birth, 2 nighties, pjs, socks, slippers, thin dressing gown, wash bag full of toliteries, mat pads, always night pads, brush, bobbles, and i still need to get nipple cream and nursing bras :D

I actually packed two separate bags! I packed one bag with all babies things, onsies, cute outfit, baby brush and comb, extra pampers and wipes, receiving blankets, baby socks, baby hat, and baby care necessities, like baby powder, wash, lotion, etc!

In my bag I packed my hair things, underwear, bra, toothbrush and toothpaste, lotion, lip balm, makeup, changing clothes (comfortable clothes), socks, and things like crosswords puzzles and a couple of books to help pass time!

Hi
Well i would say to take more than you think you will need. I had my bags ready at 35wks and tried to pack carefully to avoid looking like i was moving in and ended up being in hospital for 5 days(2 days before birth and 3 after) and didn't have anywhere near enough. Had to keep sending hubby home for things (didn't always remember what i had asked for bless him). Also baby was smaller than expected (born at 37 wks) so had no clothes to fit him and had to borrow from the hospitals prem baby, so take a few different sizes.
Plenty of changes of underwear/pjs
Dressing gown
Nightie/large t-shirt for birth
Slippers/socks
Toiletries
Tooth brush/paste
Towel, although they should provide if you need extra
A few hair ties just incase (i took 2 and managed to somehow break them both, had to use elastic band lol)
Flannel
Snacks and drinks
Maternity towels/breast pads
Reading materials- don't know how long you will be in hospital

moisturisers/make up-helps you to feel a bit more human

For baby:
Hats
Mits
Plenty of vests-charlie used to wee everywhere the minute we took his nappy off
nappies
cotton wool/wipes
Sleepsuits

i had moses basket ready at 36 weeks
hope this helps

I packed loads of things but didn't really need any of it

this I did use are toothpaste, brush, hairbrush, PJs, going home outfit for me and quin, newborn diapers, wipes, slippers.

things I wish I had were magazines or books.
and I packed at 35-36 weeks.

I set quins room up at like 30 weeks but then moved last min and it was set up a week before he was due LOL

I can't help as havent packed mine yet as only 15weeks. Can't wait to be able to pack my own got ages yet though :(

ladies who used a TENS machine, is it worth it, did it help?

my hospital bag, based on what I actually used with the other 2 as I had faar to much stuff with me with them, I started packing at 24 weeks, and have done it gradually, as for everything else, crib is already up in my room (it hasn't been taken down since Summer stopped using it 10 months ago, swing, moses basket, play mat, carrycot (pushchair is in the car with seat on it for DD) carseat are all in the kids room ready to come down a week or 2 before edd
