Hospital bag-when to pack it?

Hi ladies,

I am currently going in for weekly scans as my amniotic fluid is has gone low and seems to be staying low.
The aim is to scan me every week to check she is ok in there and the placentas working etc, and to get me to term.
But I have had steroid injections and there is a chance shes going to come early (esp if I lose more fluid)
Should I think about packing it? Oh but that makes labour seem real if I do!! scary
When did/are you packing yours?

I'm going to start packing mine at 36wks, as the OB and Midwife both think I'm going to come early.

I think you should pack it now hun it's never too early! I packed mine last week but have since unpacked it and now need to redo it! Lol
I have no medical condition that says I will have baby early but it's better to be safe than sorry!

Saying that, I was desperate to pack the bag from 22 weeks but now I keep putting it off til tomorrow, and tomorrow never seems to come lol

I packed mine with both my previous pregnancies at 32 weeks cause I was at risk of going into labor early and had to keep having it stopped till 36 weeks with first and 35 with second, so was SO glad I went ahead and packed... Good luck!

I need to think about buying the stuff I want to pack first! Definitely going to pack myself some chocolate for after-essential!!

I started mine a few weeks ago. Got a couple of things to add but the essentials are in there. xx

I started mine at 30 weeks, just got a few more bits to add, def best to be prepared, especially if your DH is anything like mine, he wouldnt have a clue where to start if I asked him for maternity pads and big knickers lol!x

I started mine this morning, I just got a few more things to put in such as toileries, coming home outfit for me etc....

Its never too early to be prepared but could end up being too late. When i had DS my bag was only half finished as I just kept forgetting to finish is so at 37 weeks when he came I ended up with half of what I needed for me but everything I needed for baby

I packed mine between 31 and 33 weeks. It took me 2 weeks to get all the stuff together! Still have a couple of last minute items to add but it's pretty much done.

Iv packed mine... i get the feeling shes comming early so im taking no risks. I keep it next to my bed lol ...

I've done a list of stuff I need and printed it out for the OH's benefit. That way if anything happens too soon he'll at least have some idea.

I've packed the baby's changing bag with some stuff. I had everything anyway so why leave it all seperate.

i started packing mine a week or so ago, i've made a bit list and started getting stuff for it now. she'll probably be late, but i thought i might as well i'd say pack it now hon, that way you no your ready

this weekend i'm planning on starting washing her clothes, so then i can pack her bag then

I packed at around 30 weeks then have repacked again these 2 weeks as I washed her clothes and added some last minute stuff-tens machine (hired so just arrived), drinks, snacks and camera.

I have mine all packed now. I did it about 2 days ago.

Everything I have bought is still sitting in the boot of my car in shopping bags... does that count as packed?? I didn't see the point in getting it all out until the nursery has been put together.

I guess I just need to add to it with clothes for me and bubba now then!
