that seems like everything to me babe! i haven't done my yet, i really should aswell, ive got the list written, she need to buy it all!
oh urm what about breast pads? thats one thing thats on my hospital bag list that you haven't got? :)
xx

I have a list that I've yet to pack, but I've based it on about five different pregnancy books as well as looking online... You have most things that I'll have, a few changes are:
  • Three nighties instead of one - changes needed due to blood, sweat and tears
Nursing bras & breast pads - I'm assuming you're bottle feeding though
    Light dressing gown
Money & list of numbers for payphone incase he hospital doesn't allow you to use your mobile
    Also money for parking/taxi/whatever
Nappies - I've been told that hospital usually tell you to bring your own (this may be the same with bottles and formula)
Towels - not sure exactly who these are supposed to be for...
A water spray bottle/sponge/washcloths to cool you down are recommended, not sure if I'll be packing them though

I've never done this before, so I really don't know what is actually vital and what isn't, but these were included on all of the lists I'd looked at.

ooh yeah, and maybe a bra haha! oops.
free bird.

do you definitely 100% need breast pads yeah? is it not one of those see how you get on sort of thing, or are you pretty much guaranteed to need them?

list of phone numbers is a good one and some pocket change. my OH will have his wallet on him though so that'll be okay.
and i might get another nightie as well that's probs a good idea! i was intending on just having lots of big pants to rotate round haha!
yeah i'm bottle feeding, hospital provides sterilised bottles and formula and nappies for me luckily. if not i'll just send OH home to get the already packed changing bag haha. too organised :s

Okay, so that seems like you're pretty much sorted to me :) Breast pads are usually only if you're breast feeding, but I would've thought that you'd still leak :P

i don't think i'll bother with them then, if i end up really needing them i'm sure the hospital will have something they can give me.

yay! glad i've finally got everything. i'm going to put it all into the bag tomorrow. i'm doing this all quite early but i just want to be prepared!

super organised :haha:
the only other thing i'd suggest is maybe a few sleepsuits for LO :) x

It's never too early, I'll be doing mine soon and I have 3 months to go.

Hairband, and chapstick!i've been told by a friend these things are indispensible, chanpistick coz apparently gas and air gives you really dry lipsand a hairband coz hairs annoying in labour apparently!

Ooh and plastic bags for any dirty clothes

Ooh and if you have a baby book like one where you put in dates, times, memories etc about the birth

Scratch mits for bubs?

I want to do mine now too!

And i would suggest taking breast pads, even if your formula feeding you still produce milk! :D..xx

reminds me...I need to pack mine! lol seems like you have the essentials but I would definitely bring breast pads. I'm pretty sure you leak milk everywhere for the first few days either way lol

oh god oh god okay i'm convinced okay i'll buy breast pads!!
scratch mits
baby book
hairband
chap stick

very good ideas!

I don't have enough hair for hairbrush or straighteners!! I'm just going to take my favourite slouchy hat. I wear it in bed anyway... :) and it's going to be freaking cold in Nov/Dec! The wind here is tragic, cus I live on the coast when the wind is bad I can't walk down my road without my OH cus I get blown over!
