hospital blood tests?

i phoned nhs direct on thursday night coz i was getting awful pain low in my right side they said i could have been having an ectopic and to go too a&e, when i got there thet done a pee test, negative for everything inc pregnacy, they then done a blood test incase i had apendasitus (sp) and sum other things they came bak all clear! anyway i asked "so im not pregnant" and she looked at the pee test results and said "no" would they have also tested the blood for pregnancy? random question but im just wonderinng

i think they might have done, cos isnt hcg stronger in your blood? i'm sure if you dont get positives on weeing sticks they do a blood test at the docs?? hope you start feelin better soon, have you been tot he GP yet?
