When did/are you all going for your Maternity Ward tour? I don't know when the best time to go is, but I don't want to be too early and be the only mum there without a 'real' bump.

i went on mine at 37 weeks but that was because my midwife forgot to book me into the classes. I think most people were in late 20s to 35 weeks period.

i went after i did my 22week scan with Izzie, didnt do one with kabe, and never did it with Abi cos i felt uncomfortable

Mine is at the end of April...I'll be 7 1/2mo

im 24 weeks and havnt been yet or heard when i go xxx

I'm going next week. I'll be 20 weeks. I don't care if I'm the only one there without a bump. I figure I'm their client if I want to see it 100 times I can! I scheduled mine so early because in Dec. I thought I was going to switch dr/hospitals.

Personally, I think anytime after 28wks is ideal, as it is not too early and given the fact that anything could happen at anytime a bit later on, you don't wanna be leaving it too late! x

I dont think I want to go to one of these, I think it might freak me out a bit.

Ignorance is bliss!

trust me, you really should, i never went with Abi, i just felt uncomfy with the whole young thing, id been judged in prenatal classes so stopped going to those, i felt uncomfortable everywhere i went, so i refused to go look around in case i was judged. I wish to god that i had, theres nothign worse than being in pain giving birth and not actually knowing what comes next, all of a sudden theyre just pushing you somewhere else and you have no idea where your going, OH cant find you lol, and yeah, i think it would have been a lot easier and a lot less stressful if i had of gone and seen beforehand, just my tewo penneth

I agree with that 100%, ignorance IS bliss, I never went on a tour myself! x

Not for me! I have to know every detail about everything I do, nevermind having a baby. I almost wish I could be like that. My family thinks I'm crazy, because I know every day what is developing with the baby.

I've already been on one... last prenatal appointment 4 weeks ago.

My DD was with me at the time, and had taken some time off from school to see the baby stuff :) I took her so she could see and experience where we'd L&D. I'm going to go again with DH at the more normal time (25-35 weeks) if he wishes, I'd like him to know where stuff is, and feel comfortable with everything too. We'll see if he thinks he needs it :)

Besides, the hospital is doing some major renovations to the Women's Birth Center of our hospital, and it'll be done sometime in March, April just in time for us to see the new facilities!

ive heard nothing and my midwife hasnt mentioned anythink to me yet! mind you i only see her once a week for like 5 mins max and thts it. She's not hugely helpful considering its my first and im only 18.

I think I was about 36 weeks and im so glad I went then as I had her at 37+6! The reason we left it so late, was because we weren't going to go as I said "I don't need to see it, it make might be nervous" but it did completely the opposite. I felt so much calmer going there and we got a lovely informative tour.

Another reason I want to go early, my SIL had her baby at 25 weeks and she had never even been to her hospital! I've only been there once, so I have to know where I'm going for my own sanity!

Im going to register in a few weeks, I'll be 29 weeks

Great. Think I'll go after my big u/s. It seems I'm waiting for everything with that. I'll be about 22 weeks then, so should have a good sized bump. Also, my hospital has great views of London, so I'll get a sneaky tourist view of the Houses of Parliament.

I agree with Holly. I have to know everything, and I'm very impatient, so want to go now!
