It IS just a "theory", but everyone seems to really trust it. ?

The sonographer who did my private scan at 10 weeks said it was 75% accurate. She added when couples asked her to guess, and she did - she had only been wrong a couple of times. However there were many times when she couldn't call it either way.

At my 12 week scan I asked the sonographer (different one) and she said it was 60 - 70 percent accurate - but more accurate from 13 weeks - I was dead on 12.

So personally I think the trained professionals agree there is something in it - but wouldn't stake their reputations on a guess based on it...

That makes sense. We learned about it in time and ir was as right for ours. I'm hoping It's right for this one too because everyone is guessing girl! Lol

I think there is some truth to it but it's a case of getting the perfect picture at the right angle which can be really challenging. Professionals doing the scan who are prepared to say are probably far more likely to be correct over those looking at still images.

Both my boys for example had girly looking nubs. My youngest surprised everyone being a boy!
