I ask, because I have fibroid tumors, and because of that, I can only do abdominal ultrasounds. They can do a vaginal ultrasound, but the two tumors cause a huge shadow over the baby, so we never can see anything.

So will a gender scan still work abdominally?

I think most would be abdominal

By the time baby is big enough to see the gender, it shouldn't be necessary to do a vag scan, and abdominal would do just fine.

They don't usually do vaginal scans unless its very early on.

Only internal scan very early on. I've had abdominal scans from 8 weeks and I'm a big girl :)
