My mom has gone in for minor surgery so my mil is minding little joe for 3 hours he's 11weeks today, and I can't handle being away from him I don't know how I'm going to go back to work?

My dh works 60hour weeks so it's always just me and baba.
I'm lost without him :(

It does get easier. Also keeping busy while away from baby helps.

Your feelings will change as he gets older. Do you have to go back soon? At 3 months old, I could imagine ever leaving my first. At a year it was still hard but doable and now at 2.5, I love seeing how much she enjoys nursery and don't mind leaving her much at all.

I'm not back to work until September I kept my holidays and used them in my maternity leave.

I felt like a huge part of me was missing :(

Its HARD at first I know... it wasn't until DD1 was over a year before I felt more at ease about leaving her with my MIL... but even then I kept worrying about her.
But when they're so young its really hard even for just an hour.. its like you're dying to get back to them.

I had to go back at 6 weeks...our LO are the same age :) my husband watches him at home a couple days a week, and sends me pictures/ lets me know how he is doing. We also have an awesome app called Total Baby...makes me feel more connected to know when he ate last/how he is doing. Also helps to have video of him on my phone for when I pump at work.
It's tough, but it's a pretty quick adjustment. Miss my little guy a lot, but coming home is pretty sweet :)

I feel this way too! My mom watches my son once a week overnight until we get a sleep pattern going. I feel like the house is empty.
