God im so annoyed!!
Taylor usually goes to nursery in the mornings and comes home at dinner time.
But since he came back from the summer holidays hes been nagging to stay there for a packed lunch because all his friends do, it cost £1.50 for the extra half an hour
So we got him a pack lunch box and i had a whale of a time going to asda to pick out his lunch box food! :haha:

Anyway........ ive just this min picked him up and when i collected him, i noticed his school jumper was wet, rb cage downwards.
I asked why he was wet and he said he doesnt know
i assumed hed been having a water fight with his friends in the toilet again :dohh:

i got home sat him down with a drink and got a whiff of pee???
so i looked at him and remembered about his sweatshirt.
I felt his trousers and they were soaked from the calfs upwards!
so i stripped him and he was absoloutly he soaking his polo shirt was soaked trouser underpants socks!

He had pee'ed himself!
this isnt like him! he knows when to go to the toilet! he doesnt even wet the bed!
i never have to tell him to go he always goes himself.
i asked him why he didnt go to the toilet, and he said because theres no toilets in the lunch hall??
i said well why didnt you ask to go to the toilets and he said "I WASNT ALLOWED!"
im sorry but your not telling me, they didnt know he had done it!
as soon as i sat next to him i could smell pee :growlmad:
i ALWAYS pack spare trouser and underpants, just incase he gets wet from playing in the sand/water pit.

im so angry, theres no way he had peed just the once he was soaked!!
not happy!!!

think ill be having words tomorrow!:growlmad:

Poor Taylor! That's awful! Not only would it be uncomfortable and cold but humiliating for the poor little lad, could've caused him to be bullied or anything!

I'd go up the wall!

seriously tho! theres no need for it! he was properley soaked god knows how long he had been like that!

Okay occasional a child does honestly get missed if they have had an accident and hasnt told anyone what has happened, you also said he nevers wets himself so prehaps staff misjudge this as water to?? you didnt realise until you got home so maybe it could have been a mistake HOWEVER you do get the 'i have noticed that the child is wet but i'm pretend i havent lazy arse staff'.

I remember numerous occasions picking up my nephew from pre-school and he would be wet!! use to really annoy me....i told my brother to complain about it as it wasnt a one of... either way it needs to be mentioned regardless x

also if he had asked to go to the toilet in the lunch hall and told no then i'm guessin it was in the half hour before being picked up that he had the accident xxx

yer there is the chance that they just thought it was water like i did, but he said he asked to go and they said no!?
so they must of realised he would/had wet himself.
i know kids have acidents, but the teacher heard me say to taylor, eugh why are you so wet, taylor said dunno and i looked up at the teacher and she shut the door???

i dont know! the only thing i can do is mention it tomorrow

hmmmmm that sounds a little dodgy..............def bring it up, he shouldnt of been told NO when he asked to go to the toilet either way x

this is why im annoyed.
i could understand if he told me he didnt ask or whatever.
saying that hes probably asked and theyve been busy dealing with other kids theyve said "in a min" and just forgotten about him, but he said she said no.

it bothers me because he felt embarrassed about it, he might not want to ask again when he stays for dinner

yeah defintely......... ask why he wouldnt be 'allowed' to the toilet at lunch times ...........if they do have a reason then they should make sure children go to the loo before they go to lunch.( i'm pretty sure they should all be told to wash their hands before lunch etc)
hope it all sorts out xxx

well yer that brings up some another eyebrow raising subject, do they even get told to wash their hands?!
possibly not, if he didnt even go to the toilets hmmmm

Just would like to add that it is possible that Taylor did not ask to go to the toilet but felt ashamed that he wet himself. The only reason im saying that is due to the fact that he didnt indicate he had wet himself and also said that he didnt know why he was wet when you asked - so maybe he was a bit embarrassed? It could also be that he was so excited by spending his first packed lunch at nursery that he didnt want to miss out and was holding and holding himself till he literally could no longer - and thats why there was so much!
Obviously it does need mentioning - Is there CCTV? if so ask to watch it back and see if it shows him asking.

that is possible!
i dont think there is cctv not in the room anyway?!
i will ask if he asked to go, before accusing, but i dont think i would ask to cctv, id rather just trust them tbh :flower:
i wouldnt want to force them to show me the cctv as if they had done something wrong! lol
i reakon a lot of parents would love to do that but if everyone did, it might be too much

wss ^ i'm a teacher and if a kid asks to go you let them go! esp at his age! complain away! go straight to the headteacher if your nursery is attached to a school. poor little thing hope it doesn't put him off staying for lunch

Poor little man! I would be furious too, happened to a friend of mine. Her little boy (4yrs) poo'd himself and they wouldnt touch him or change him! As home time was only an hour away they let him sit in his own mess for an hour! She was so angry that she withdrew him from the school, luckily there was another school that she could enrole him in!

hes fine!! he wants to still have pack lunch lol
he didnt even realise there was an issue!
but the worrying thing is, i was considering letting him go for the full day, wondered if he would still be in those clothes?!
will definatly have words!

poor thing!

She did make a formal complaint, she had about 3 different meetings after the event and was given a formal apology. They absolutely should have either called her immediately or at least told him to take his pants off and bagged them.

But he is now at a better school and all forgotten about!
