I know when I was ttc id check first tri to see what symptoms I was missing out on.
I was just thinking it might be helpful if we said how we graduated from ttc and what we think helped so that all the girls still ttc can have hope and ideas to try.
I honestly think that losing weight helped, I was dieting and lost nearly two stone, then hubby and I had a Holiday from work booked to decorate the bathroom which just happened to fall while I was ovulating, we had decided to relax more an just let it happen and actually bd'd coz we wanted to not coz we had to (tmi) and lo and behold it worked!

How did you graduate? Any tips?

This thread is a great idea Tanya.

After trying for 18 months several things changed the month I got my BFP..

1. It was my second month using Preseed

2. We kept busier and managed to relax a lot more so didn't think about TTC nearly as much as I was before

3. I had appointment with Fertility Specialist which I part of the reason we felt we could relax, ie we knew we were on the right road so not despairing, he also put me on Clomid, which medically is probably the main reason for our success, but I definitely wouldn't discount the other factors.

xx

Great post idea! :flower:

DH and I were only trying for 1 cycle so to be completely honest I don't have that many tips, but the one thing I did pay a lot of attention to was my cm. There was one day where I had A TON of it and I remembered reading about how it was so fertile so DH and I got on it...and that's when I got pregnant:cloud9: Not sure if it matters either, but whenever DH "finished" he was always on top too.

Hope this helps someone!

We stopped trying ! Although its a cliche, like they say, when you stop trying so hard sometimes thats when it happens. I really wanted it but was so nervous, I didnt think I would get pregnant easily I'm a stressed person and I'd read stress hormones don't help TTC so I stopped thinking it would happen...and then it did !:happydance:

I got pregnant on my 4th cycle after the pill. This month the month i got my BFP I used conceive plus for the first time and BD'ed 3 consecutive days before I o'ed. Of course at the time I didnt know exactly when I O'ed but because I chart I could see. I did BD on the actual day of O though

I'm 34, we TTC for 2 years and suffered a MC last year. I got my BFP on my third cycle of clomid. Maybe I'm being overly sentimental but I swear I knew we had conceived on day 14 of my cycle when I had the most explosive orgasm. Does that sound crazy?

DH and I were NTNP for 1 month & TTC 1 month...

In the NTNP we didn't really do it but one day around O...or when I thought O was coming. Even then it was like 3-5days before.

In the month of TTC AF came on the 11th and ended pretty short, but was still about like a normal period- just shorter. So we started to BD on CD5...we would do a few days in a row here and every other day there. I did it all the way till a week before AF was due. The only thing I remember noticing was a light pinching/zinging feeling right about my pubic bone. It would pulsate and come n go. My boobies slowly started getting sore and either got swollen or already grew a bit...thinking they grew because they are still bigger! Took a HPT (ClearBlue Digital) 1 week before AF was supposed to come and I got my BFP!! YAY!

Congrats to all you other ladies too :)

We have been trying for nearly 2 years. I think 2 things have helped me most. One is losing weight. 2 months before the BFP, I went on a diet + exercise, and went from size 18 to 14. And then, the last few months before my BFP, I was also attending this lovely lady for acupuncture and herbs. I think it's the combination of doing both.

But then, there may be one more reason. We had practically given up on TTC naturally and had got appointment with the fertility clinic. I think DH's absolutely disgusted he were to have his bits examined. So he must have whipped his :spermy: into action, and we got to cancel the appointment :haha:

I calmed down!

We were trying for three months and I was doing EVERYTHING recommended. I charted, I ate pumpkin seeds and tomato stuff and grapefruit juice (yuck!) along with vitamins, flax seed, and a bunch of other things. I cut out caffeine and anything that went on in my body, I charted. Everything was about getting pregnant.

And then my free trial for my online chart went up and I stopped charting. Eventually, since I couldn't track or remember, the things I was eating and drinking started to slip too. Soon the only thing I did to get pregnant was take vitamins, not drink caffeine, and BD'ed a lot. Once it was more casual and not doing everything by the books and sort of just "letting it happen," it happened.

1st cycle of clomid :) did the trick for me and my dh !! :)

Same for us, 1st try! I think it was because while I knew when I was ovulating, there was no pressure because it was "1st go" so to speak. We BD everyday day from end of AF (day 6) to day 21! xxxx:happydance:

- I gained weight. I wasn't ovulating and my OB figured it was because I didn't have enough body fat (was at 18,6%). My whole family is super skinny (good genes) and were able to pop out babies so I didn't think it was the problem. But obviously it was and when I gained weight I started ovulating naturally. I generally always ate healthy though and had a healthy BMI but lost about 9kg in 2 weeks just before my wedding (my dress was too big I cried my eyes out) and wasn't able to gain the weight back.

- I had already been TTC for (what seemed to me) a long time so I didn't want to wait until my body sorted itself out so OB gave me Clomid and an HCG shot the cycle I got my BFP.

- Prayer. Lots and lots of prayer. It wouldn't of happened if God hadn't given his blessing :)

I'm glad everything has worked out for you well now. But it upsets me so much to hear when husbands are unsupportive and difficult due to their own insecurities. Had you not gotten pregnant naturally this reaction of his to getting his sperm tested would have been unforgiveable. Sperm testing is literally the very first step in the fertility treatment process.

I'd lost 3 stone, used CBFM, OPK's, low dose Soy, FF, put DH on zinc but most importantly RELAXED and after 2 failed cycles I got knocked up on my 3rd cycle!!! Xx

I had been TTC for over a year, My OH has sperm probs so we were told we were v unlikely to conceive! i then joined BNB in october, learned all about BBT, OPK's, vitamins which help my OH swimmers and the next month here we are!!!!!

thats a short version of it, i have a nice long version in my journal if anyone wants to see but il keep it short n sweet here!!

SOOOOOOOO happy to be here even though it was nice and comfy in TTC lol! xx

Aw congrats Samira, Im so pleased for you! :hugs:
