So I am a SAHM now and loving it. I plan on being a SAHM until my LO (and future LO's) are around the age of at least 6.

Well I am thinking way ahead, but how hard will it be to get back into the workforce? The company I built my entire career at has just been sold to another company, and by the time I look for a job I won't have any professional references to use because of that.

Will no one want to hire me bacause I am an older woman going for an entry level job again?

Depending on your industry, are there any online courses or some kind of training that will keep you up-to-date on your skills so that you don't fall so far behind? Would you be able to network with people in the industry every now and then so that you can stay in touch with what's going on?

It all depends on what you do with yourself while SAHM. If you shut your industry out completely, you will fall behind and may have to go back in at a lower level than had you stayed in the industry. But if you're fine with it, then more power to you for being able to do both SAHM and then return to the workforce. :D

im thinking that as my girls get older i will hopefully have time to an evening or at home course to help so when the time comes i will have a little something extra to offer.
