At the time of having my daughter I said no more (don't we all) I was deer ate for a vbac after my sons emcs but I had another c sec "semi" emergency as my daughters placenta stopped working.

I never thought to ask how my scar tissue was or how Thin my uterus was etc.

I am now starting to look to the future. Having always wanted 4, that yearning is coming back. I wont have another for def for another few years but I want to know my options if that makes sense?

Any idea if u can get info like that? X

u could get ur dr/ob to request ur hospital file, it should state how ur last csect was and the state of uterus etc then u could make a decision.from there depending.on what they recommend. usually they will let u know as they do the surgery or after if something is concerning ie. thining uterus. my last csect they told me they cut some cysts from my ovaries as they were doing the surgery but everything else was fine

I live in another country, so I'm not sure how helpful this would be to you. But what I did, was ask my gynae about the possibility when I went for my yearly pap smear. She did a sonar in any case, since I have other problems, and with that she could tell how thick/thin the uterus were, how the scar looked and if anything would prohibit me from having another baby.

I just had my 4th c-section a month ago, and it went very well, but she did say during the section that it was good I was doing a sterilisation with it, because my uterus is getting too thin to support more pregnancies. I'm extremely happy I was able to have my 4 babies.

Btw, I also planned a VBAC with my daughter after my first son's EMCS, and then had to have another "semi" EMCS when her placenta suddenly failed.

Thank u, both.

How odd re placenta xx

I am now preggo with my third and have had 2 sections. Labored for 19 hours with my daughter only to end up with another section. I asked about having another and they said it would actually be safer because I would schedule it. Once you go into active labor the uterus contracts, which can be a problem ONLY if the wall is thin. If you schedule a section before labor (which obviously can't always work out that way) it should all be fine. After my first section the doctor told me she "checked out my uterus" and everything looked good.
