How do you Christmasify your house?

Oh! And a Yule log! I'm going to make one of those too.

I'm not sure what we will do this year. In the past we had a tree in the living room, dining room and boys bedroom, green garland round the top of the ceiling/wall with red bows and gold baubles in the living room and the ceiling decorations that are made of foil stuff in the dining room kitchen and even bathroom.
This year we have a hall way but the living room is a large lounge diner so not sure the garland will go round but I do love it as it looks so old fashioned. We will have a tree in the living room and hall, and in each of the boys bedroomd. Our stair way is wide enough to have a row of stuffed Christmas toys up one side of the stairs. I need new decorations for other areas

Decorate the hallway and living room. We are getting a new tree this year and we are getting lights around the window. Im planning more decorations tyhis year, including a lil pink tree for lil menace

Our house is a bit of a mish-mash between my very traditional Germanic style decorations, and my OH's favoured look, which I can only describe as 'Santa's 80s theme party'. He loves flashing lights and those foil decorations hung from the ceiling. We have a garland, candles in festive candle holders and little figurines on the mantle piece, lights around the living room window and on the kitchen ceiling, and Christmas bunting on our big kitchen cupboard. I also put all my Christmas crockery on my dresser, have Christmas cushions and throws on the sofa, Christmas tea towels, hand towels in the bathroom and Christmas bedding. I think I'll get a little tree for my son's room this year, and I really want a Christmas bath mat. Seeing all that written down makes me look like a lunatic

This was my old house at Christmas. We've only just finished redecorating this house so will get new pictures this year

I will see if I can find any pics later.

In the porch we have a light up reindeer and sleigh.

On the stairs I have the stockings and fairy lights wrapped round the banister, hoping to add to that this year but not sure what?

In the living room we have a real tree, tinsel over the mirror, cards on a string along the big wall (usually 4 or 5 rows- mainly belonging to the kids lol) and some snowmen on top of the fire. This year I also have a light up snow scene canvas.

Playroom artificial tree and tinsel.

This year we have a conservatory so I'm hoping to get net lights to put across the entire ceiling and a small Xmas tree.

I'm also hoping for some outside lights and a potted Xmas tree for the drive.

Not sure how I'm paying for it all though 😂

We have a massive 7ft tree that is always decorated pink and grey to match our living room. We have xmas bunting up the stairs.

Not got any other pics but we have stockings hung up either side of the living room door and we have a massive mirror that we decorate with glittery decorations.

Need more this year as it always looks so bare and unchristmassy!

Looking at the pictures gets me so excited to start decorating! :haha: I bought curtains yesterday, two red/burgundy and one beige and they match my living room rug well. I bought them to block off the entry to help save on heating and I just may use them in the living room instead :haha:
