i posted this in baby club but didnt get any replies :nope:
so i thought u ladies would know :)
so ive been descaling my sterilizer with the sachets you can buy from boots. buti its too dear to keep buying them, so im going to use citric acid instead.
so can you please tell me how you do it? like would you mix the citric acid with water and start its cycle?
or do you do its cycle first and leave the citric acid in the bottom for 30 mins or so? and how much do you use etc?

any advice would be great! thanks i have the tommee tippee steam sterilizer btw xx

can anyone atall help? i remember posting a thread about using kettle descaler and alot of the girls said they used citric acid. so could someone please tell me what you do?

I use vinegar, just pour in the usual amount and ran the cycle, then dump it out and run it again with water, then it is ready to use. It does smell though.
I am not sure about citric acid- I suppose you have to dissolve it in water and then follow the manufacturers intstructions. It should be easy enough.
