How do you make bottles when out and about?

I've recently started feeding my baby comfort milk and unfortunately it doesn't come in the ready to feed cartons :nope: I have always used these cartons and find them so handy when away from home. So, when I'm at home I use a flask to make up feeds, and I suppose I could do this when I'm out as I have the tommee tippee travel flask, but how do I cool them then if I haven't got access to cold water? I could take a separate flask of cold water but I'd have one heavy bag lol!

Or, another thing I was thinking was to add the powder to hot water from the flask then add cooled boiled water. But I notice if you put the powder in after the water it goes above how many ounces your making iykwim? So I might then be adding too much/ not enough water!!

Anyway, sorry for the rambling, any advice would be appreciated!! And btw I dont really want to premake bottles and take them out.

We take a powder dispenser and a flask filled with boiled water and just make the bottles up when we need them as normally we're out for two feeds. :flower:

Oh and as for cooling down, we try to make them a bit before she's due, and have once asked for some Ice from Burger King :haha:

Do you have "nursery water" in the UK? If I am not using a RTF kind, I just fill the bottle with nursery water, put a lid on it, and bring the formula with me. Nursery water is great because it's purified and has the right amount of fluoride in it.

I keep PJ's bottles on dry ice in a little cooler. He needs the ready to feed formula so I always have to carry dry ice with me.

No I don't think we have that water over here, be a lot easier if we did! I just took a separate flask of cold water to cool the bottle today, probably just have to continue doing this for now.

Is it worth emailing the manufacturer requesting the ready to drink cartons for that variety of milk? Enough pressure so they can see the demand's there and they might widen the range slightly.

I actually did this the other day, but they said that due to the make up of this milk they are unable to produce it in ready to feed cartons. I really thought my long pleading email would get them to do it too lol!

i prepare the bottles with formula and take bottled water its quick and easy.... i have nursey water when at home.

We have the powder dispenser (plastic round thing with 3 compartments) and bring purified water in bottles. When LO is ready to eat, just add the powder to the bottle and shake!

I know they have insulated bottle holders. I actually have one, bit aven't used it. Might be good for the RTF kind?
