I say barclees but could be coz im from liverpool? Idk

I say Bar-clees. I don't think it's a Liverpool/Northern thing, I'm from Berkshire :haha:

Actually yeah the guy who used to do the ads always said barclees!

xo

Never heard it pronounced bar clays before, definitely bar clees

Barclees!

Definitely not a northern thing. I'm from Southampton and never heard anyone say bar-clays.

A lady off here started the same argument on FB and a lot of people are saying Clays and it just doesn't sound right to me lol! Xx

LOL If I was in the UK and knew what that place was.....I'd pronounce it Bar Clees.

For some reason when I say both outloud, Bar clees sounds normal and Bar clays sounds like you're trying to talk with an (American) southern accent.

Yes! You're right! It does sond right in dodgy Amarican accent  xx

I say Bar-clees and my hubby used to work there and that's how he says it too. I think they says Bar-clees on the advert too.

I am nj(east coast USA) and say bar clays. To me it is a company that provides our insurance so that may make a difference? But I would say it that way no matter what
