We've got three cats, an elderly dog who needs to be walked every four hours or he'll have an accident on the rug, and two aquariums; not exactly the same as having a baby around, but we do already have some restrictions on our time and space. We can't just take off for a weekend holiday, or even a long evening out (unless we arrange a dog sitter), and we spend a good portion of each morning/evening cleaning, feeding, and otherwise looking after our pets.
Some of the biggest changes I anticipate after our LO arrives in January are:
- Much less sleep
- More stress, possibly arguments (hubby gets VERY grumpy when he's short of sleep)
- Family holidays will likely be centered around our house from now on

I love how many people have posted about their pets after I did! For little babies I really believe that if you've already got troublesome pets (especially the ages pooing ones like one of mine) it's not such a huge leap! The sad thing will be watching the baby quickly surpass the dogs. Poor little bottom-rung hounds...
