I’ve sorted my list of ideas. Might give you some ideas.
Some days might end up doing something different depending on time etc. but hopefully most of this will come off, I don’t know why I make it into such an effort for myself with everything else I have to do in December haha but the kids love it and I know the years of doing it are limited now tbf. Most of the props and bits are stuff I have lying around the house.
1- Arrival
2- Fortnite (have some leftover v buck chocolate coin stickers and he will bring the code for the mint pick axe)
3- chocolate orange trick (elf will bring an orange kids will have to roll this in flour and see what happens overnight)
4- chocolate orange reveal (it has turned into a chocolate orange)
(We have done similar previous years with eggs into kinder eggs with glitter and planted jelly beans in sugar which turned into candy canes)
5- googly eyes (put googly eyes over the elves eyes)
6- wrapped up in lights (battery operated lights from Poundland)
7- baking (elves will bring a baking kit)
8- toilet roll messages (saw this on Pinterest, will write silly things on the toilet rolls)
9- elf peppermint farts (he will be in a jar with a note saying sorry I have farted and when they open it it will ‘hopefully’ smell of peppermint)
10- reindeer can’t fly (we have an inflatable reindeer prop he can’t fly so the elf will have the Harry Potter wand trying to make him fly)
11- bedroom filled with balloons
12- sauce and mayo into the shape of Santa
13- trapped in a spider web (leftover Halloween prop and wool)
14- note saying is this how you do the floss (will have dental floss)
15- crafts (already have these just a craft kit)
16- lets make it rain science experiment (food colouring and shaving foam, see Pinterest for instructions!)
17- turned themselves into snowmen with cotton wool (this will take some d.i.y to make a snowman suit, may go wrong)
18- whoopee cushion (bought this from card factory)
19- wrapping paper on the living room door
20- tinselitis (note saying what do you get if you eat Christmas decorations and they will be covered in small circle stickers)
21- ‘frying’ candy eggs
22- elf sharks (again could go wrong will try and craft some shark fins with a note saying elfie shark do do do)
23- floor is Lava will craft some ‘lava’ and have them off the floor
24- xmas eve box North Pole breakfast
