How hard was it to tell your parents?

Im 15, almost 16 and i dont live with my mom, my dad left us when i was 12 and ever since then my ma's always wasted so i live with my bf and his parents ( hes 16) and it was so hard to tell vicky and jim, cuase they are like my parents,

I said "Im pregnant, with Ryan's baby, ryan already knows, Im 1 month along, please dont be mad"

They were so supportive they still are, its so nice to have them around they help me with everything im now 3 months best of luck

Mum bought me some pregnancy tests because she noticed that I hadn't got my period somehow (I have no idea how but okayyyy?). While she was watching tv one night I took the pregnancy tests off the kitchen bench without her noticing and went to the toilet. I took the test and then realised I was pregnant. She walked into my bedroom while I was in the corner of my room on th ground crying on the phone to my OH and asked if I took the test cos they werent on the bench anymore. I said yes, she said show me? I'm like No. She's like, are you pregnant? I'm like I don't know. and she's like just show me the test. I'm like "I'M FUCKING PREGNANT OKAY" and pegged the pregnancy test at her. I'm so mean... But my mum and stepdad and OH's Mum and stepdad are sooooo supportive it isn't funny! :)

sorry to hear about your loss chic. :(

im jessica, 18 soon to be 19 and due in september, my OH is 23!
well..
i was so scared to tell my parents, i told my older sister first and she told my mum for me. apprently she already knew :| because i'd not asked her to re-order my repeat perscription of the pill so it was a give away. (opppz) other than that she was over the moon for me. bought me a test to confirm it, and then got me booked in with midwife. everytime we go shopping she has to buy something for bubble now. (even if its something small) :)
my dad was the harder one, he doesn't live with us. my mum phoned and told my step mum and step mum told dad. later that evening my dad called to congratulate me. i was sooooo scared. i thought he was gunna have a go at me but instead he was really pleased for me :)

OH told his mum first and she just cried and cried :( and didn't tell his dad for a few days. he told his dad over a drink at the pub. at first he said he was gunna knock his head off, then they both talked over it. came home, and kept making jokes out of it calling OH mum nanan and my OH grandad shit dick (shit dick = private joke with family) lol!

other than that they took it reasonably well, infact a lot better than i thought they would. OH took it worst out of all!

Sorry for your loss, but congrats on becoming pregnant again so fast !

well im 18, will b 19 when bump arrives,

my dad went away for the weekend (dont live with my mum) and i decided i would phone him and tell him then but i totally chickened out, so i text him instead. he tried to phone me straight away but i didnt have the guts to talk to him so he text me saying im not mad at you, just need to talk. still love you beansy (my nickname) and since then he's been so supportive its fantastic.

my mum on the other hand (we aren't that close) i let my dad tell her and when he did there was about 4 days of tears and anger but she's calmed down now ish still thinks im mental etc, but she's talking to me about things like when she was pregnant with me and my sister so we are kinda getting closer.

My Sister (younger than me by 2 years) was like WHAT?!?!?!?!!?!??!? omg omg omg omg omg yay im going to be an aunty, then proceeded to do a little dance as we were walking down the street to town. oh and has now forbidden anyone else from buying anything for the baby with whinnie the pooh on it ... oh dear !

My OH mum was tricky as she'd just found out his younger sister was pregnant, and she didn't handle that very well, however we told her together and although she was a little shocked her words were there's not much i can say is there, my OH and her went out for a fag and she calmed down, she's buying stuff for the bump now so she must be alright with it.

Good luck When you tell them, and you'll have to let us know how they handled it :P

im 16.. and my mum already knew that i was pregnant before even saying anything... was so worried about tellin my dad, but he came round to the idea.. :D
x

Congrats on your pregnancy! It was hard to tell my parents although I knew they'd probably be understanding. My Dad was a bit disappointed at first but they've both came round to it now. My Mum has been great so far. I just went to bed one night and said to myself I need to do it, so I asked my Mum to come through and told her. It makes me cringe thinking about how arkward I felt, but it was so much better once I'd just came out with it.

congrats on your :bfp:
I was 19 when I found out , I kinda just blurted it out on the phone
to my mom but I had just left the hospital due to some bleeding I
guess I caught her at a bad tim considering it was 4 am :dohh: at
first she was angry but I did wake her up she called back an hour
later after she realized what I said and told me her and my dad were
very supportive and if I need anything they will be there and they
were very excited in the morning! Let us know how it goes good luck!

Hi srry bout your loss! Congrats on your new pregnancy!
but i completely understand i found out i was pregnant wen i was 15 in january and miscarriend at the end of february! now i am pregnant again!
i still have not told anybody!
but the first time my my boyfriend got me to tell my mom it was very difficult! but she ended up guessing on her own! she told my step dad by showing him the pregnancy test and he was furious at first but came around!
i dont think itll be that hard though becaused they both became very excited about me being pregnant and were very hurt by the loss! and my mom has said things bout me trying again and just to keep my medical conditions in line if i was planning to!(she figured i was gonna try again)
