how long after D&C

I had a D&C on monday, i should have been 13 weeks, but baby had died at 7 weeks. I was just wondering how long did you bleed after? i was told it would just be like a period, but ive also heard it can last for weeks.

I miscarried naturally at weekend, would have been 12 weeks but baby stopped at 6. Spotted on Friday but only minimal Saturday was when i miscarried and passed everything (i think) and since then its been pretty much period like and last night and today the bleeding appears to have stopped. I have a scan later to check there is nothing left. So for me bleeding was a week from natural. From what I've read d&c is less bleeding...?! However everyone is different so its kinda hard to tell...
