how long after MMC???

hi all, i hope your pregnancy's are going well,
a little bit about me, im 26 and last month i was meant to be 12 weeks pregnant when i went for my scan but my baby had died at 9 weeks, i had a d&c on new years eve i bled for the rest of that day but nothing until a week and a half later when i started to spot for about 3 days!!
im now waiting to get my first period and was just wandering for those who TTC straight after how long did it take you to get your BFP? how did you feel and how far along are you now? thanks in advance ladies

I'm so sorry and sending you big hugs

I had a mmc in August with my first pregnancy, following the D&C I bled for about a week then about 10 days after that I had another bleed, just like a period. We waited a month before TTc and I got a BFP at the end of October, exactly 12 wks after D&C.

To be honest I didn't relax at all through first tri but am getting more confident now each wk, setting milestones has definitely helped a lot

Hi I had a erpc at 9 weeks and spotted for the first day then nothing. The doctor said the lining of your womb is thin after so I waited for one af like you then I tried again and caught first cycle. Needless to say we were amazed, they did suggest to wait for up to 3 cycles to be safe but we literally gave it one go and got lucky. So far touch wood this one is going really well so my lining must have been good enough to go. I do suggest waiting for the one af though as everything I have read said the risk of mc is high as there isn't enough lining to get the egg implanted deep enough. Good luck.

Sorry to hear about your sad news - It took us 5 months after my mmc in june, saying that we didnt try for a few months, I wasnt physically or mentally ready but really happy for this one and praying s/he sticks.

I think its jus recommended to have one period for your dates..

I had medical management (due to blighted ovum) when I should have been 10 weeks at the end of May last year but it took another month before my HPTs turned negative again (think I had some retained tissue which eventually sorted itself out) I got my BFP on 11th August.

At the time it seemed like forever but looking back it's much easier to put things into perspective and see how quickly it happened in reality, but it's very difficult when you are trying to get over a MC and are so focused on TTC.

Hi bubble, I went for a scan at 8 weeks cos of spotting and it turned out I had mc, think baby had died at 6ish weeks I had very little bleeding and the first pill of the medical management was all that I needed to get it all out. I'm waiting for my first period, but I really want to ttc before I get it, so I'm not sure what's best? Big hugs to u x

I had a MMC with my first pregnancy in oct 09 - didnt find out till the 12 week scan that the baby had stopped growing something like 3 weeks before we found out but sonographer told me to come back in a weeks time incase my dates were wrong, about an hour after the transvaginal i started bleeding heavily and a day later was having contractions regularly until the pregnancy came away the day before the rescheduled scan. It had taken me and my partner a year to concieve that pregnancy and 7 months after MMC until we concieved again, im now 33 weeks pregnant with a little boy and he is due the day after my partners birthday. it took a long time to get over the loss of the first pregnancy but if that awful experiance hadnt of happened i wouldnt have this baby now. once i had my scan and saw my little boy wriggling around on the screen and could see all four chambers of his heart clearly beating away i felt totally at peace with the MMC, I stopped aching for my loss.

Everyone is different, some take longer than others to conceive again and no one can tell you when the right time is. i didnt listen to the doctors advice to wait one cycle before trying to conceive...it still took me 7 months.
