Ok, I'm going to take a shot at this... but the information I'm giving is partly conjecture!! Progestrone peaks in a normal 28 day cycle around day 21, after which the corpus luteum begins to regress and hormone levels begin to drop. Since progesterone is the cause of abundant CM, it stands to reason that from day 22 or so the CM would begin to dry up. Since implantation happens around the time that the corpus luteum begins to regress, it would also stand to reason that the CL would be "saved" and CM would NOT dry up. Having said that, my CM is different every cycle! Some I'm virtually dry, and others I'm "wet" until AF shows her ugly head. It might be a good sign for you, so keep your fingers crossed!!
