how long after ur sweep did u have bubba please??

just a quick update really.. saw midwife today as i was having pains lower bump where baby was pushing down and she did an internal to find out more and she said to me she could easily feel babys head without having to struggle n that he is extremly low now and she doubted i wud see monday.. meaning he would b born over the weekend.. i was happy yay.
but then she said my cervix was low and very nicely thinned but not dilated atall yet which she said not to worry about as will dilate when in labour i guess..
she also said while she was doing the internal she wud give me a stretch and a sweep, wasnt too bad actually, uncomftable but not painful..

and now im having extremely bad lower back and lower side ache and my tummy is constantly hard.. its uncomftable but i havent had any like contractions or bhicks yet etc.. ive had a bit of bloody discharge but nothing to much..
midwife did say that baby will b here before monday and all she did was hopefully help stir things up abit.. so looking promising.. but it was really funny when she felt and her face went into shock mode as she said to me she didnt expect him to be soo low without me already having signs haha..

just wondering really how many of u went into labour or had baby shortly after sweep...?

i had a sweep on tuesday and had show yesterday and had bh all day today nothing yet but i do believe when babys ready it will come xx

yeh they normally say 48hrs dont they but im just wondering if mine will b bit earlier due to how low he was to start with..i dunno think im just a bit impatient and thinking positive for once haha

I went for my sweep last time on the Wednesday, but the midwife said she couldn't do it and he wasn't ready to come.. My waters broke the Friday morning and he was born Saturday just before midnight x

dont worry im impatient aswell but today i woke up thinking ill try and just relax and when baby is ready baby will come hopefully my new attitude works haha xx

I've never had a sweep an I'm on my 3rd ;( tho next week ill be havin my first sweep as I told the mw point blank I'm not bein induced again. So hopin to go into labour imediatley an just simply cough an give birth xx

Yeah its said to work quite well
once they can actually do one or 2 on you.
My friend is 5 days over due and they did one on her.
She's being kept in the hospital tilll her waters break or untill they can break them for her.

im hoping it is yeh.. also if anyone can tell me how long after having it did u bleed for, i think im losing my plug atm but in very small parts, i wipe and its like very dull blood mixed with urine

Had my sweep at 3pm and she was born at 4am the next morning.

Both of my girls were born within 12 hours of having a sweep.

oh wow i didnt realise they cud b born that quickly after.. suppose i better just wait and c then and think positive i guess

i had a sweep last friday, contractions started every 3-5 minutes then stopped through the night, 1 was 2 cm dilated 75% effaced
had another sweep sunday diff MW- she said iwas 1-2 cm dilated and my cervix was thick, i was a little tender after , no contractions but monday and tuesday i was loosing a lot of bloody mucousy show which has now stopped
i'm in for another sweep tomorrow, but i may try my breast pump tonight to see if that starts any contractions off-- i'm just currently scouring the internet for any cons as i may change my mind x x
