If i want to take boiled water out with me hot to use later how long will it last? In a bottle bag? And then add formula when u need it...? Is that what u guys do im a bit new to this formula feeding lark...

Doesnt seem to be getting an answer doodlebug! Well i have done it since i posted left it 2 hrs seemed fairly hot still and she hasnt been poorly

this whole formula feeding is a lot more confusing than I thought it would be...

Hi ladies - my LO is now 3 years old and I know "the rules" as such change every so often - but I use to take hot water out with me when she was a bubba and i truly think it depends on how hot your bubba likes there feeds?? I use to take hot water out and make them up when out but then I started making them up before I went out and keeping them in the thermal bags and they normally stayed hot for quite a while but luckily my bubba wasnt that fussy with warmth of feeds etc.... hope I helped a lil bit x

Well i kno they say here once formula is made up to use within 2 hrs. I guess i was hoping to extend that by taking the hot water separate

I eventually started making feeds up in the morning and storing in fridg then just heated them up when i needed them and my bubba was fine - I will do it like this for baby #2 hopefully as well :)x

I know guidelines here say u cant do that tho :( im not comfortable with it either tbh.

Its just what you feel comfortable with but I work in day nurseries and majority of our parents make there bottles up and we put them in the fridge - people do things differently I learnt alot from my mum and she and my nan did it that way. But its your own choice do whats right for you x

I do it 2 ways I've used the insulated bag option and separate powder when we go swimming and 1.5hrs after i put it in the bag it is still hot (too hot sometimes had to cool it down before giving it to him). If i'm out for longer as I use the flask method at home i just put 1oz cold boiled water in the bottle and take the flask of boiling with me and a powder dispenser and then make it up as i need it.

Sorry not done longer test on the insulated bag I think it may be one for trial and error but my LO likes his milk hot so the flask method is just easier to guarantee it!

I found a little thermos sippy cup! Its meant for cold drinks but it kept my boiling water nice and warm!
