how long did it take you to concieve

My 1st pregnancy was 18 months after we started trying but it ended in m/c. I then had 4 more m/c's in the next 2.5 years. After my fibroid surgery I got pregnant the first month we were allowed to start trying again.

So does that mean it took 4 years or 1 month?

thanks you, im 21yrs already have a 4 yr old it took us about 3 months with him so im hoping it wont take us to long this time round, this is our first proper month trying so fingers crossed wont take to long, good luck with your pregnancy x

Whoa - you were trying to get pregnant at 16/17 years old?

I'm 32 and it took us 15 months, and lots of RE appointments combined with Metformin for my PCOS. We feel very lucky.

About 20 minutes :D Just the once for me!! I am 28 FOB is 27 (was 26 at the time though)

But me and my ex boyfriend were together for 3 years and were NTNP for the last year together and I never fell pregnant. He had 2 kids and is hiaving another now, so I assumed it was me at the time.

it took us 5 months to conceive after coming off the implant, I was only on it for a few months though so not sure how much it affected fertility apart from making my cycles go nuts :dohh:

First try, wasn't really expecting it to happen so quickly :)

I stopped taking pill 15th Feb and got BFP 15th March, I'm 23 OH 25 we were very lucky, I am now 10 weeks! :cloud9:

Heya it took 3 months with our first sadly it ended at 9 weeks end of december,
then i feel pregnant again on valentines day during my first cycle! xx

neither of ours were planned,
but it happend twice in the space of 3months despite being precausious so i think it was meant to be! x

First one; was trying for three years with ex-h (though looking back now its good it didn't happen) then when I got married again a year after getting divorced from ex-h; it took only three weeks to get pregnant dh and I were shocked as anything because I'd been warned by my GP I may need tests and even fertility treatment because my hormones have always been out of whack and I've never had regular cycles. 2nd one was when the first was 7 months old; I'd only had one two periods before then after having my 1st. My youngest son; took exactly 1 year from having my middle son; I didn't even feel pregnant until I was 7 or 8 weeks along and as I was abroad at the time I thought it was just the dodgy food and heat making me throw up and feel terribly tired. When I had my youngest I stopped breastfeeding him early as he had seriously nasty allergies and nothing I could eliminate from my diet seemed to make it any better, I started to pile weight on and my hormones went absolutely insane, not sure which of those came first but I ended up with a 70 day cycle. After looking into investigations and treatment I found out I was pregnant in late July last year but must have conceived more than a month earlier I did have what for many women would be normal to moderate pregnancy symptoms but in all my successful pregnancies I had very strong symptoms even if they started a few weeks later so I felt something was amiss; and sadly I had had a missed miscarriage. The only good thing to come out of that horrible experience was it was like a huge reset button for my cycles; in fact over the past few months they have never been so regular in all my life, so heres hoping for a 2011 bub....

OH and I are both 33. We decided to start trying on a Saturday night and conceived that very weekend. Aparently my Mum was the same when she conceived me and my brother so it might run in the family or we might be really lucky especially considering Im in my 30's... I was on the contraceptive injection for 9 years and stopped it about 2.5 years ago.

It took us two months. The first month, we missed ovulation because we were going by a calendar instead of charting. The second month, we went by my cervical mucus and it worked!

We spent several months prepping though. We both stopped drinking alcohol and caffeine and cut out anything with aspertame. We also cut way back on anything with high fructose corn syrup. I started taking prenatals and he started taking a multivitamin and extra folic acid.

After coming off the pill, I conceived about a week or so later.

I am 18 and OH and I are both young and healthy. It took us 5 months before getting a BFP. I had been off the pill for well over a year and I was charting and intercourse was timed right each time.

It took us two months. The first month we didn't really "try" very hard though. The second month I based my ovulation off of the last month and it worked!!!

It took us 17 cycles of trying. Though it spanded over 2 years cause Hubby deployed.

3 years of well timed BDing. charting and tests etc
We have male factor and I O sporadically.

I would like to comment on one posters comment that read along the lines of ..... 'I'm young enough to be fertile'
I dont mean to sound picky, but being young and healthy has nothing to do with being fertile.
I have a BMI thats never gone above 21, I'm fit and healthy and under 30, eat organically and cook from scratch, my job has never been particularly stressful and I don't drink or smoke. My DF is the same, that didn't save us from 3 years of heartbreak and the uphill struggle to get a BFP.

4 months- had a mc in sept- only took me 3 monts to get pregnant for that one- but it took 15 months for DD

Took 3 months for AF to return after coming off the BCP, then first cycle after AF!

I started trying in October 2007 (I was 37 DH 31) and didn't get pregnant until April 2009 so 17 months. I miscarried and then had IVF in March and am pregnant again so another 12 - 13 months.
