How long did your LO use pram/bassinet?

weve got a mamas and papas mpx with carry cot but we only used the carry cot part for first few weeks as lo is really nosey and wanted to look around lol she just used o cry all the time in the carry cot so we just used the car seat for short periods and the seat unit for longer periods when lol was about 10 weeks i bout a baby jogger stroller aswell and i use that more often than the baby jogger i had the car seat clips to use it with maxi cosi car seat but she is too heavy for the adaptors now :-/

That's so cool! We live in the countryside so have to get in car to go anywhere so it really wouldn't be practical at all. They're fantastic though. I remember when my brother was a baby and my mum would sometimes give me a shot in the pram - I was 7 years old and still fitted in!

Yeah they are Huuuge .... and taking over my house (I have 5 of them altogether) I'm in the middle of doing a Forever Friends one at the moment ... a 40's silver Cross in cream with FF bears on the side panels and a biscuit coloured hood and apron

They are fantastic in bad weather too ... snow is no obstacle for them at all because the wheels are so big But, like you say, not practical for country living these days because we all have to use the car to go shopping. For town dwellers like us though they are brilliant ....you can fit a weeks shopping underneath, use the pram bed as an 'on the go' changing mat and let LO sleep in it in the house (out of the reach of toddlers)

We switched him to the seat unit at about 5 and a half months i think but mainly because i was bored of the pram bit and the seat unit was suitable from birth he still had loads of space in it, i would guess it would have lasted him until around 6 and a half months. We have a mamas and papas Ultima.

I did have the babystyle oyster but sold it last week.. Leo fitted in it fine at 11 weeks with plenty of room to grow in it (he's on the 50th for weight and length) but he has started getting really nosey so didn't want to be lying down staring a black hood everytime we went out! I've now got a mamas and papas sola which has a seat unit that can face both ways and is suitable from birth because it fully reclines and he absoolutely loves it!! Xxx
