My LO is 5 weeks today and yesterday and today shes hardly slept at all in day and I know she is tired as she winges a lot and rubs her eyes but she just wont go off!!

Any advise?

Do you put her in a cot upstairs? Have you tried swaddling her xxx

she goes in her basket in her own room in day and our room at night. She hates being swaddled as likes to have her arms free and sucks her hand.

What about music? I've been using it for the last week and it's been a godsend xx

hi hunny my daughter is 5 weeks today also, i wouldnt worry to much hun unless baba seems to be in pain as it might just be that baba will sleep longer through the night and let you get some sleep:thumbup: GL hun hope thats what it is xxx

bella sleeps on me during the day for the most part, or i carry her in the moby wrap & she sleeps. after a while i can put her in her moses basket, but she'll only sleep in there if she's in a deep sleep when i put her down.
xx

nicole is 3 wks old and is a little demon for sleep. shes absolutely wrecked but wont sleep, almost afraid to go to sleep in case she misses something interesting lol. i too have tried everything and nothing works, she has bigger bags under her eyes then me. we have a lovely cot mobile which has nite light etc and she watches it and nothing lol, i fell asleep listening to it last nite!!! got her a rocker chair that vibrates and still nothing.

doc checked her over and she has nothing wrong with her, nicole is just too nosey. i did however get her to sleep in her moses basket today while she was sipping on a bottle, thats probably the WRONG thing to do but it did get her off, she didnt drink any of the milk just sucked on the teet. she has a dummy but keeps spitting it out.

Icey- that's exactly my bubs problem! Too damn nosey!!! Lol!
She's really sensitive to noise now too which wasn't a problem a few wks ago!
I've also had to get her a dummy to help ease colic and it helps to get her off when she's upset.
She's brill at night though so maybe she's just falling into a pattern like jambobabe said and she will be more awake in day and sleep longer at night, guess I can't complain but her eyes are red so she def tired!
She goes 4-5 hrs at night between feeds and has last one at about 9pm and asleep by 10/10.30pm so I only wake once at an unreasonable hour so it's brill!
