How long have you been trying to conceive?

We started trying in September 2010. (Not as long as most of you ladies) I've been told many things: PCOS, Blocked Tubes, endometriosis, ANdometriosis, and now unexplained infertility... ::doh:: AF came today, which means I get to start Clomid for the first time (100 mg), have my 2nd HSG, and have my very first IUI. DH is taking HCG drops for his diet which is also supposed to boost fertility. Hopefully all of this will end in a BFP!!!

Ladies, dont give up, My husband and I were trying for almost 8 years before we went and finally got some help, we did 3 rounds of clomid with IUI and ended up with a son. We are now trying again 2 1/2 years later and this time we are doing the clomid, gonal-f, ovidrel, IUI and praying that it takes the first time, we have another week to see! Dont give up, IT WILL HAPPEN!

We haven't been trying for nearly as long as some of you, since beginning of December 2010 for us.
I honestly don't know how some you do it, I don't think I could take trying for 6,7, 8 + years

20 Months, husband's sperm count is low. Next month trying IUI, then IVF. Unfortunately, no coverage by insurance. He is taking fertilaid and Mens vitamins. I have tried soft cups, preseed, even egg whites, no luck so far. Right now I'm trying to get my emotional health back on track, as its taking a major toll. I've done acupuncture, starting meditation tonight and counseling on Wednesday.

Five and a half years. My doctor told us yesterday that if we don't get pregnant by June then he will have to refer us to a specialist, which means too much money that we don't have. Been in Clomid since September and not a stitch of a the entire time we've been trying.

So basically if we aren't pregnant by the time my July cycle hits (my birthday) then we will have to accept the childless card since we can't afford the next steps or adoption. We aren't willing to go nearly bankrupt for something that's not guaranteed.

only been trying about 7 mnths but think age is on my side,im 37 in july oh 39 have 3 from previous marriage he has one so dont think we have probs just our age and maybe need to relax and just let nature take its course we hate coming on each month tho dont we ladies feels so heartbreaking but im lucky to be blessed never thought i wanted more till i met my fiance sods law,i conceived very quickly with other 3, and to thos who havnt any iknow it must be heart breaking but all you can do is live in hope or adopt /foster etc ivf there are ways

HCG does wonders for sperm count, my DH was taking it for a few months before my BFP in 2010. good luck!

I am also considering to take IUI, but worry about is there some side effect to take injections of hormone FSH? Is there anyone know this concern?

Hello Ladies, me and my OH have been trying for over 5 years with not even a hint of a BFP I'm 37 in two days and OH is 40 this year, I definitely think time is no longer on our side and this is really starting to worry me !!

I'm doing the IUI without the injections. I went on Clomid this month and then will do OPKs to see when I ovulate. I will go in for the IUI when I get a postiive opk.

DH and I are just crossing into ltttc. We started trying in Dec 2010 but missed a couple of months when his job has separated us. We should start some sort of fertility testing in march/april. I'm feeling a bit intimidated. Not a trace of pregnancy thus far.

I'm an early LTTTC at 15 months but had no BFp and test all come back clear despite RIDICULOUS cycles!!

For those that have a long wait for IVF, there are great clinics all over the world that have little to no waiting times. I know there is a clinic in the Ukraine that is very cost efficient and even lots of the other clinics around the world (Mexico and South Africa plus many others) are a lot cheaper than US clinics.

Also, make sure your doctors do full immunity testing.

My husband and I tried for over 12 years. We just did IVF and have had our very first bfp! We still have a long road a head of us and doctors don't want us to get too happy, but we are still ecstatic!

I wish everybody success in ttc. If you want to be a parent, you should be able to.

It's been almost 4.5 years now.. since Sept. 07... with 1 miscarriage back in May 08. Don't have money for IVF anytime soon... but we may not need it yet, still trying different things...
