How long will it take...

To become regular??

I've had 4 bouts of really strong period pains over the past 2 days, then last night one of them was around my bum aswell.

Can anybody relate to this and tell me how long this takes to actually become regular?

I've had this too but I'm another first timer so not sure how things will go from here. Will be keeping an eye on this thread in case someone does know though!

I think it varies from person to person. I have heard/read someone women say that they do not get a regular pattern the pain just gets more intense so they go in and I have others who have said it took anywhere from hours to minutes. With my daughter I didnt get regular so I had to have pitocin to help the contractions become longer stronger and closer together with my son I did it all on my own and it only took about 4-5 hours but I also was already 3cm dilated at my appointment that afternoon. Ive had 1 pain last night and 1 the night before that took my breath away and made me almost pass out, then also 2 milder ones in the early mornings...nothing more though

Hmm...sounds like it could be some little early niggles getting ready to turn into something for you. Hugs that something happens for you soon hun

I think so, our bodies have weird ways of preparing for LOs to arrive and I think those first few strong niggles is like our warning, our bodies way of saying ok this was just a sample of what is to come so get it in gear. LOL, anyhow, fingers crossed and labor dust to you hun

It's such a frustrating time the waiting. It does sound as though your body is preparing. I wish we all knew when it was going to happen

I'm exctly the same hun. Last nite my bump was rock hard and I had constant pains in back and bump. Today bump is tightening on and off and I have mild pains in back and bum. I was induced last time so not sure if thus is normal. Please let me know how u get on xx
