i wanted to know how long it took u to be back to normal like go out for a walk with baby in pram. Or do normal house work? Any tips would help too

the first week was really tough for me. once i got my staples out, i started feeling MUCH better! by 2 weeks i felt pretty normal.

my advice would be to get up and moving as soon as they let you, it will make the recovery process easier and hopefully quicker. i took LO in the little bassinet thing and go for short walks around the maternity floor in the hospital. when we left the hospital, i was moving slow but i didn't have a really hard time. it was just getting up and down from bed that was really tough for me.
it really wasn't as bad as i thought it would be, good luck!! :)

2 weeks to feel somewhat human. 6 weeks to be 100% normal.

Aww thanks its been 5 days already i cant wait to get out and about im feeling alot better im home and mpving about my fiance is great looking after me nd baby but i want to go out lol

today has been 2 weeks and 3 days since my c section and for the first time we've gone out as a family! I feel a bit shattered and sore now but know that by tomorrow I'll be feeling good as every time I push myself one day, I feel a little bit better the next. been going stir crazy for the past couple of weeks so pleased that I can manage a short trip out now - getting in and out of our car (which is a 4x4) is the hardest thing!

When I had my first section I lived in upper flat so I couldn't lift pram downstairs etc so it was a couple of weeks til I got out and about myself. 2nd time round though I was out from 4 days post section and went to museum on day out 7 days after.

i had my c-section 2 weeks ago tomorrow, i also was in labour for 14 hours, had general anaesthetic cause i could feel the stitches going in, and my oxygen levels dropped, and i had a blood transfusion, ive been into town with my LO twice since friday, i can walk fine and what not, bending is still sore and the scar its self is still very tender, but other than that my mobility is pretty good, :)

xxx

I am on to my 4th week and feeling much better, had an infection for the first 2 weeks which knocked me a bit. I started off by doing slow walks around the block, mainly to get some fresh air, now I am out walking with the pram (slowly!) for a good hour!

I was out and about 4 days after my section, we just took it really slowly and I found leaning on the pushchair helped.

2 weeks and 5 days later I can do light housework (put washing in the machine, do washing up, that sort of thing) but I still tire really easily, and I am still following the advise not to lift anything heavier than baby.

But seriously, rest while you can, and don't overdo things. I did and crashed big time a week after my section, I was a blubbering mess for a couple of days and I stayed on the sofa having skin to skin with LO, I should have been doing that before. So even now I only plan one visit/outing per day otherwise it gets too much.

reading the replies makes me feel super human, I was out 2days post csection only stayed in hospital 24hours but that wasnt through choice I needed to pick up my daughter from school xx

24 hours? I thought I was out of hospital quick (less than 2 days) and even then I couldn't get out of bed on my own!

My midwife took sticth out this morning feels better without it. Im doing house work nd did ask midwife is it okay to go out with pram she sed yesh but no hills nd take it slow i will be tired after it she sed.

Well i had a complecations during and after my section. i also had a long tough recovery so it took a few months to feel better for me. however i have three Lo's so i had to try and do what i could. i was up and about the same night i had my section (i had my section at noon) even though i didnt feel upto it. and i started doing housework the night i got home.
i didnt go out till about 9days after my section and i couldnt walk properly i was in alot of pain and still have spd so i had to use shop mobility for a while after. i still get probs with spd

my last csection i was in hospital for 24 hours had to get home to my other kids as im a lone parent by day four i was going bonkers indoors an went downtown and did some shopping it was slow going an i was worn out when we got home but after that i was fine x
