How many 'bad' foods are you eating?

Felt a little guilty today, after having some mauby (a Caribbean fermented drink- not sure if it's alcoholic or not, but it does give me a buzz), followed by some green tea (which I have at least 1-2 times a week), then Ramen noodles, which had MSG in the seasoning packet. I've been a bad girl. Hope I'm not hurting my baby by ingesting some of this stuff. I did some research on mauby (which I drank tons of this weekend) and couldn't find conclusively if it contained alcohol or not... I know green tea contains caffeine, which, like MSG, should be taken in moderation. When I eat the noodles I only use about 1/2 of the seasoning packet because it's too salty anyway, with the full pack.

Anyway, am I the only one eating 'off limit' foods? Is anyone abstaining from 'bad' things all together? I was a lot better about this in my 1st pregnancy...

Since the end of the first trimester, I've splurged a little every other week. Soft serve ice cream Sunday. Roast beef sandwich. Runny eggs.

Got to live on the edge a little.

I didn't drink alcohol, even when I wasn't pregnant, but I eat plenty of foods considered off limits by some people. For me, it's about moderation. I wouldn't eat certain foods every day (pregnant or not), but treating myself to less healthy food/drinks once in awhile works great for me.

I eat tons of turkey sandwiches and splurge every other week on sushi.

A runny egg every few weeks or so is about it for me.

I went off tea massively early on, and I've only had about 4 cups in the last 16 weeks. I never drink coffee...I probably get most of my caffeine from chocolate :haha:

No alcohol, though I did have a dessert with pimm's syrup on it when I was on holiday. I'm veggie so deli meat/sushi etc isn't an issue for me, and I've managed to stay clear of brie etc, though I would normally usually only eat that cooked.

I did try to have my eggs solid, but they went like plastic . The eggs I buy are lion marked, which apparently means they come from chickens vaccinated against salmonella, so the risk is tiny, and I do have them quite well cooked - just with a bit of 'run' to the yolk.

I've had a half a shandy. Alcohol isn't my problem. Nuts are. Although my midwife told me nuts are no longer considered bad unless you have history of nut allergy in the family, and I don't.

I have had 2 semi runny eggs (mainly because I can't cook eggs for the life in me haha). But nothing else that springs to mind.

greasy, unhealthy, but delicious stuffed jalapeños from Jack in the Box :) I've had it several times the past few weeks (and felt sick after).
A little bit of diet coke every couple of days to help with nausea.
1 starbucks mocha a day.

So yea... I'm not being very good food-wise. But I was the same when I was pregnant with my son.. he turned out just fine. Don't worry - as long as you are not giving up healthy food for unhealthy ones, it's all good.

What I would do for pizza more often. So unhealthy and oily pepperoni pizza lol, I've managed to fend off that hunger to only once every other week.

At least one choc bar and a packet or 10 of crisps everyday - oops. Trying to stop, but just too tasty.

I drink 3 cups of tea a day, but that's not naughty to me, that's sticking to the guidelines.

In the past 16wks I've probably eaten the same amount of chocolate as I do in a year! I just don't want to eat much else. I don't want to eat 'smelly meat' - so nothing greasy and I can't stomach chicken. Last time I had a huge mince adversion and I haven't touched that in weeks. I also don't feel like cooking vegetables. I'll eat them, I just don't feel like cooking so I'm not eating much.

Apart from that I've had the odd alcoholic drink, regularly over do the caffeine allowance when you include the chocolate, will eat a runny egg and have eaten blue cheese, Brie and mozzarella that I don't think was pasteurised.

I feel like I've been so bad. I occasionally have a cup of coffee. If I want sweets or other junk bad enough, I won't deprive myself of it. Trust me, I've tried lol I just get way too stressed out when I really want something specific and can't have it. I hope I'm making up for it by eating heathy dinners! Lol

I have the occasional mocha once every few weeks. I miss those so much I just want to drink it all day. I do have caffeine daily but under the recommended amount. I found that when I completely cut out the caffeine I got headaches. What I miss the most is having an ice cold beer on hot days out at a baseball game of at a restaurant patio. I've been seeing this summer ale commercial on tv and I literally feel like I'm drooling:nope:

Ugh!! Tell me about it! I went to a baseball game this past weekend and all I wanted was a beer and a hot dog.

With my first, I completely cut out caffeine. This time around, I made it until about 10 weeks, then succumbed. Between the headaches, and not having any energy to chase my 1 year old... I drink about 12 oz of Dr. Pepper a day, and that's only around 41 mg of caffeine, so way under the recommended 250 daily limit, but I still feel guilty about it.

I also occasionally eat ice cream (although one week, I had it every day), some pizza and the occasional cookie. I seem to have a problem with blueberry bagels though... I love carbs, and those are so good!

My OB said coffee was okay, but should be limited to 12 Oz a day. If a pharmaceutical rep bring us ice coffee from Dunks I may grab one just so it doesn't go to waste I'm not a coffee drinker anyway. But every blue moon I'll indulge especially if it's a iced Caramel coffee. But I had to fight the urge for soft served. But i mostly try to be good. Although I would love a turkey, and avocado sandwich. . Yummy

I have been eating SO bad it's not even funny! I work at a deli shop, so I eat lunch meat about every day freshly sliced. Fast food, spicy food, and sweet tea are my crippling addictions. Hot cheetos, especially. And what I wouldn't do for a margarita! (mockaritas just aren't as good). But baby seems to be doing just fine :)

I so want a margarita!!! My df says just get a mocktail when we're out and I don't even bother as they don't taste that great and are usually just loaded with sugar anyways from fruit juice :( I don't really like going out anymore since I just have to watch everyone else with their yummy drinks and I can't have one.

Last night I picked up a big pizza for the family on the way home and ended up eating most of it myself! Big, greasy, meaty pizza. It was heaven.

And, most of the time, I've just been craving anything sweet. Can't get enough chocolates. And pudding. And have had one or two with huge dollops of whipped cream.

Anything and everything I want to eat! Loads of soft cheese, paté and LOTS of tuna mayonnaise! I really don't buy into the whole 'don't eat this, don't eat that' stuff. I mean I've never heard of a woman say 'my baby has long lasting problems due to the fact I ate some soft cheese in a sandwich when I was pregnant' I think it's wrong to smoke and to drink more than a glass or 2 of wine a week but as far as foods go, I really do have whatever I feel like xxx
