how many bottles ?

how many bottles to you need to buy ?

i am going to start to get my list of thing i need before baby arrive ...?

i already bought couples of doctor browns glass baby bottles ( as i wanted to take a look at them ) but how many do i need to start with a new born ? and so on...

I have 8 big ones and 5 small ones. I dont use the small ones anymore were a waste of money really as they only hold 5 oz. I would go straight for the big ones and get 8-10 depending on how many times u want to sterilise. Meadow has 5/6 bottles a day. I dont know how many a newborn would have maybe more. I breastfed at the start so dont know. x

I had 10. Early on Hannah would go through anywhere from 8-10 bottles a day and I found making up bottles twice a day to be too much hassle, so was glad to have enough bottles to get it all done in one go

i have 13/14 bottles but then i always no there is a clean one just needing to be sterilized when i get in or in the middle of the night ect but people brought them for me

6 8oz bottles - that I use but only fill up to 4 or 5oz, I only have this size right now because I wanted Dr. Browns bottles and didn't want to buy a small size that wouldn't really last, I thought she'd be moving up to the bigger bottles.. but no

Also I have the Playtex Nurser system that we don't use; total of 4 4oz bottles & 5 8oz bottles. I have 3 8oz glass bottles as back up I guess, they were a gift.

I just like not having to constantly wash and sterilize bottles.. I can slack off on it because I always have a batch of clean, sterilized bottles to fill even when I'm out or down to my last one of the batch and they're all dirty.

I have 8 Dr Brown bottles we did buy 4 small mam bottles but we never used them. I'd just stick to the larger ones.

between avent, tt and dr browns we prob had about 50 bottles at one point

now we have 10 dr brown bottles.. luisa is having 4 regular 7oz bottles atm so i tend to wash all 10 sterlise 4 and have 4 in the sterliser ready to sterilise wen i need them if tht makes sense!

When newborn i had 12 bottles (dr browns) As he fed reg and remembering to clean + Sterlise bottles regularly with a newborn is a nightmare, i barely remembered to brush me hair

Now I only use 3 bottles (dr browns) as jacob only has 2-3 bottles a day. So rest are in storage saves having them lying about XxxX

I bought 8 CTN tommee tippee bottles, she refused them, so I bought 8 avent bottles, they gave her bad colic, SO i bought 9 Mam bottles and she has stuck with those.
Personally I wouldn't buy too many of the same brand just incase you have a fussy baby like I did lol. I spent a small fortune on babies bottles.

i think we had about 12 smaller bottles and 10 larger ones - so we make up 6 at a time, that always seems to work for us, and i do think you can never have enough or you seem to be sterilising all the time xx

just thought if you only buy bigger bottles they usually come with stage two teats so youll have to buy stage one teats to go in them. i didnt switch to stage two until recently. i dont know if the teats work the same over there as they do here. i assume they do. x

I have 10 five oz bottles. I also have about 4 8 oz bottles, but I haven't started using them again.

Before baby arrived we bought 5 big bottles, and the steriliser came with 4 big bottles too...also my breast pump came with a small bottle.

I only ever opened the 2 pack so used 6 big bottles and the small bottle for expressing.

Now we use the small bottle for his water and still the 6 big bottles (steriliser only does 4 bottles at a time (in microwave) and now he is 8 weeks he has 5/6 bottles during the day and 1 over night so I make up 4 in the morning and then 2/3 at bed time so I have enough for overnight and when we wake in the morning before I make up new feeds.

But I breastfed exclusively for the first 3 weeks and still do some breast feeds at times now....so cant tell you about newborn feeding.

ive only ever used 4 tommee tippee anti colic bottles. but lived with my mum when alys was newborn so she would wash them as i was using them so there was always bottles ready for me.
